Le Flots offered the best meal we had during our stay in La Rochelle. The ingredients were of outstanding quality, and the menu was both creative and refined – each dish beautifully presented and full of flavor. A true celebration of fine French cuisine. The setting is elegant yet relaxed, with a warm atmosphere and tasteful decor that perfectly complements the dining experience. The service was impeccable – attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We were also impressed by the wine list, which was thoughtfully curated and featured a wide range of excellent local and regional options to pair with the food. A big congratulations to Chef Grégory Coutanceau for creating such a memorable and harmonious experience. Le Flots is a must-visit for anyone who loves exceptional food, great wine, and refined hospitality by the sea.

We visit this restaurant two or three times a year, it is always a gastronomic delight. The ingredients are sourced to the highest standards and prepared with such attention to detail, the tastes are absolutely amazing and the staff are most professional and attentive. Truly outstanding and always worth a visit if you are in town.

We loved our evening at Les Flots. What an exceptional setting, right by the tower at the port, and our gourmand tasting menu was absolutely delicious throughout - well worth the money. All the dishes were well thought out and the ingredients fresh and good quality. Service was prompt and polite. Would recommend if you love good food.

Excellent dinner! We took the market menu and it was worth it! Everything was so tasty and yummy. The products are incredibly well selected, each bite is amazing. The cheese plate is also very nice. I strongly recommend this place for a nice/romantic dinner.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the world. 10/10 experience in terms of food, service, ambiance, location. Great for celebrating special occasions. It’s fine fining but its value for money, especially some of the 3-course menus they offer.

We had a delightful meal and was pleasantly any the superb quality of each dish. The seasonings were well balanced but innovative. The leek accompaniment to the coquilles St Jacque was truly exceptional. The staff was attentive and able to answer in English our inquiries with grace and charm.

Les Flots lived up to every expectation. The service was exceptional, the food was divine. A gluten allergy was not a challenge and at all. We were assured throughout the evening "nothing is impossible". 6 stars!

We had a lovely evening at Les Flots. The staff was professional and attended to our every need. We had a table outside, in the far right corner by te street, facing "Albert". Make sure to ask for this table, it is perfect for people watching but still intimate. We had Pineau for aperitif, then "Oyster Galore" (the best oysters we've had), followed by a fixed menu (43 EUR) that was wonderfully composed, cevice and langoustines (36 EUR). The sommelier picked a nice wine for us that was delicious and in our price range. I can really recommend this place!

Brits read on... This is one of my top 5 favourite restaurants and suits me fine. The service is impeccable, the dishes are varied and well presented, and the wine waiter will give good advice if you ask him. It is not cheap, but if you are prepared to treat the evening as an event rather than just a meal you will not go wrong. Best advice is to book a table well in advance...
