Sunny Sunday in France precisely in Yvoire, a small village border to the lake Leman.
We had lunch at Les Jardins du Léman, besides of the harsh start, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in a truly cozy atmosphere. It was very hot, so we needed something fresh. We went for the BdB by Billecart-Salmon. Base 2016, this one showed it’s freshness and elegance right from the start. Delicate effervescence, tingling on the palate with smooth velvet ending. It let us no choice to order a second bottle immediately. It also paired so well with food, especially the pata negra and citrus foie gras - a complete harmony between the champagne and the dishes.
The end up we went for Caroline Morey an exquisite burgundy, powerful but charming, perfect match with the poulet de Bresse.
