We were looking for a good eatery after unsuccessfully have tried to see the Francis Bacon exhibition one week early the first Friday of February 2025 and researched Google Maps for the best place in town. Luckily for us "Les Touristes" had a free table for two. This is an old institution that has been taken over by two young chefs from Wallis two years ago and has already been awarded 16/20 by the Gault Millot guide. Prices are accordingly with the exception of the lunch menu, "Ehémère". One of the two evening menus is vegetarian and looks really inviting, an intelligent move to attract parts of the younger generation with its negative approach to meat. The wine list represents what is expected from a gastronomic restaurant with a large choice of local options. My only critique is that the prices of the high-end locals, of which I have several in my wine cellar, may discourage many customers from choosing these alternatives. We had the excellent Ephémère menu which stimulates both your palate and your eyes, accompanied by a local Claret, also of excellent quality. Service by the young staff is attentive and joyful. Overall excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
