Les Touristes in Martigny is truly something special. From the moment you walk in to the final bite, the entire experience feels thoughtful, precise, and deeply enjoyable. The kind of meal that stays with you long after you leave.
Chefs Christophe Genetti and Maël Gross are clearly cooking at an exceptional level. Every dish was beautifully executed, but two stood out in a big way. The beet dish was stunning: elegant, layered, and completely unexpected, turning a humble ingredient into something refined and memorable. The 30-day dry-aged pork medallion was flawless: perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and balanced with accompaniments that showed real restraint and confidence. Michelin-level cooking in every sense.
The service elevated the experience even further. Yassine was outstanding. He was funny, warm, and genuinely friendly, striking that perfect balance between professionalism and ease. He made us feel immediately welcome and completely taken care of. Jonathan, the sommelier, delivered thoughtful, spot-on wine pairings and brought a welcoming, approachable energy that made every glass feel intentional and exciting.
What really sets Les Touristes apart is how seamlessly everything comes together. It never feels forced, just effortlessly excellent.
This is absolutely a restaurant worth traveling for. If you’re anywhere near Valais, or even if you’re not, Les Touristes is an experience not to be missed. An easy five stars.
