"This pleasant eatery on the quayside, opposite the fish market, is managed by two young people with experience in some elite establishments. They propose hearty and meticulously made food that makes good use of regional produce (fish, shellfish and seaweed, of course, but also meat). The lady of the house is a radiant hostess. Smiling staff and attentive service." - Michelin Inspector

The hotel is situated conveniently just off the main street, and opposite the fish market (which isn't a problem at all!). It was easy to walk there from the station, and easy to find.||I arrived early, and asked if I could leave my bag whilst waiting for my room - but the room was ready (at 11am) and I was given the key, which was great. The room itself was very pleasant; I had booked a single, but was given a double. It was very tastefully decorated, and even had a small balcony. Much nicer than I was expecting! The shower room was small, and quite dated (very 1970s!), but was very clean and perfectly adequate, with nice toiletries. ||The bed was probably one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in!!! And breakfast the following morning was very good. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, and the food was excellent. Very fresh croissants, bread and pain au chocolate, cheese, yoghurts, boiled eggs and fresh juice. Although it's not included in the room rate, it was worth paying the extra for.||The only slight problem is that the reception and restaurant areas are only linked by going up a flight of stairs, along the corridor and down another flight of stairs. So the reception isn't always manned, and you need to ring the bell on arrival and wait for someone to arrive. This was the same when checking-out; the only member of staff was in the restaurant, and there's no bell inside the reception - so it was necessary to go all the way back to the restaurant to find someone to pay! Not really a problem though.||All in all, a very nice little hotel, pleasantly located and with very good breakfast!

Very very good, fine cuisine, consistency over the time, great team and very kind! Their wine list is also great, compare to other restaurants in the area. I suggest to choose the Surprise menu.

Le Croisic is an off the mainstream little fishing village that has been, without doubt, one of the best places I have been to in France. I was travelling for an authentic french experience, something I didnt really feel in Marseille or Bordeux, but Le Croisic is lovely. Walk the beach or the paths that border the ocea, meander through the cobbled streets and quiant small shops, i think this is what france was supposed to be...||||L Estacade is a great way of seeing it. 1.1 km walk from the train station but a flat pleasant walk past the shops and a marina full of yachts and fishing boats. My room is comfortable and clean, and exactly what you would want from a cheaper hotel. Recommended for the budget traveller, but more than enough for me.
