This is completely a plant based fine dinning sourcing only local ingredients! So delicious! Amazing service and food, impressive dishes and the drink pairings was surprisingly good. The staff could not be more welcoming and it is incredibly affordable for tourists that want to dine here. Be prepared to be surprised! Fun, fun, fun!

I absolutely love Herbivore in Ubud. The staff are friendly, and the food is simply divine. Everything is plant-based, which perfectly fits the restaurant’s name, “Herbivore.” For lunch, there are three menu options available. I chose the 3-course menu with alcohol pairing, which featured seven different dishes accompanied by four locally made alcoholic drinks (except for the sake, which is imported from Nagano, Japan). The chef, Arnaud Hauchon, is French. According to the server, the menu will be updated on July 9. I’m definitely planning to return and try the longer menu next time, which includes 14 dishes.

This restaurant has Michelin-level food, service and care, while showcasing the best of local ingredients. We didn’t know what half the vegetables and fruits on the menu were before we tried them but boy were they INCREDIBLE. There is no better place to enjoy everything Bali has to offer in its best state. There was careful attention to every single detail.. honestly can’t believe the food! My husband and I were in awe the whole time. Incredible. Just.. incredible. We had the long menu, and it was 14 rounds of pure joy.

Came here last night for the long tasting menu and the food was absolutely incredible. So many interesting local ingredients, beautifully showcased in perfectly composed masterpieces. I feel like this restaurant could be gunning for a Michelin star, it's that good! Service was fantastic, and the head chef came round with our last course and he was so friendly and humble. Everything is plant based and can be totally vegan (they just use honey in one thing I think, but this can be avoided!).

A refined dining experience and magic of plant-based cuisine. Unlike general Indonesian dishes, the seasoning of the dishes are pretty mild, yet the spice and the ingredients are very well balanced. Overall, it was a very refreshing dinner, which helped me escape from the busy world. Small complaint: too many dessert in the course

This was one of the best meals I've had. No meat in sight and a million amazing flavours. They asked if we had any dietary requirements or dislikes. I mentioned pepper plus mushroom for my partner as a dislike but not allergy and they were accomodating for the mushroom and explained why they couldn't for pepper. Their helpfulness was appreciated! The food was to die for and reasonably priced, given the effort that goes into each dish. Would love to go again.

Great fine dining located in central Ubud! Even if you are not a vegan/vegetarian, their menu is very tasty for everyone! They use mostly Indonesian-based ingredients and pair them nicely with local ingredient-infused drinks. 🍹 It is a 7-course dish but served in a good amount that makes the experience even more satisfying. 🥰 Our favorite dishes on the tasting menu were the Keramas seashore harvests with tomato and local seaweed, BBQ tempe with andaliman pepper, and a delicious dessert of sweet galah rice with coconut, guava, and soursop. The drinks pairing was on point, diverse, and worth it. It included wine, Japanese sake, black rice beer but also very local drinks like infused arak. We were also surprised how they managed to mix and match local strong ingredients and make it feel so delicate in our mouth. The price was also very fair for the experience and what they offer! Highly recommended! 👍

What an experience eating here. Had the 7 course tasting menu for dinner which was actually 14 courses. Every one of them were exceptional and we couldn’t choose a favorite as they were all so delicious. This is a marvellous restaurant in Ubud so you have to visit it.
