During my recent visit to Restaurant Loxalis in Dudelange, I experienced a mix of commendable aspects and areas needing improvement.
Ambiance: The restaurant boasts a simple yet cozy interior, creating a welcoming atmosphere for diners.
Service: While the staff was friendly, there were noticeable lapses in attention. For instance, despite requesting still water, we were initially served sparkling water, which posed an issue as my friend is allergic to carbonation. Additionally, when my friend's beef dish arrived, it was accompanied by the fries and salad as specified on the menu. However, my order lacked these sides, and the oversight was attributed to me not specifying, despite it being clearly stated on the menu. Although the mistake was promptly corrected, such errors detract from the overall dining experience.
Food: I ordered the Filet de Boeuf, which was of good quality but the portion size was on the smaller side. For dessert, I chose the vegetarian carrot cake, which was flavorful and well-prepared.
Overall Experience: While Restaurant Loxalis offers a pleasant setting and quality dishes, the service inconsistencies and portion sizes leave room for improvement. I would rate my experience as 3 out of 5.
