"Since its reopening, this lovely restaurant just outside the city centre has acquired a new head chef in Robert Steuri. In the evenings, he and his dedicated team showcase precise craftsmanship and top-notch ingredients in two intriguing and innovative three-, five- or seven-course set menus, one of which is vegan. The dishes are full of finesse and carefully composed, elaborate but not cluttered – a great example is the green asparagus, mushrooms, snow peas and beans. Options are more limited at lunchtime. The attractive setting sees the charming features of this old building, such as high ceilings with decorative mouldings and wood panelling, seamlessly integrated into its sleek and elegant modern design. Highly recommended, and congratulations to the team on their 2025 Michelin Star! I loved seeing the solid teamwork in action, with some of the chefs personally bringing out their creations. The menu is wonderfully creative, and it wasn’t just the courses that impressed us, but also the pre- and post-dinner treats- each one delightful and delicious. Hearing the inspiration behind the desserts was such a treat as well. We also had the pleasure of trying both the vegan and non-vegan menus, and it was so fun to see how each dish was thoughtfully adapted from meat to vegetables.

Great fine dining experience in Luzern ⭐️❤️ my husband and I periodically try new Michelin ⭐️ restaurants and completely enjoy the fine dining experience, so I can say with confidence that Maihofli is one of the best we tried in Switzerland. A beautiful and charming restaurant. Food was amazingly delicious. Small portions but so yummy. Service was top notch. We ate outside table in the backyard and the atmosphere was so nice with lights on and dining under chestnut trees. Must visit restaurant in Lucerne.

Robert Steuri and his team created beautifully balanced and sophisticated dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. The textures and flavor combinations were surprising and truly inviting, encouraging us to savor every bite. The service was warm, welcoming, and highly professional – thank you very much!

Came to Maihöfli by UniQuisine and ordered a tasting menu. I can say that I was very happy with the food and service that the restaurant provided. I added 34 CHF for the caviar and it was a good decision. I like the sea bass and lamb the most but pork I felt was not as juicy as I originally was anticipated. The dishes were presented pictorially and looked gorgeous, the dishes injected lots of great vegetarian elements with meat and fish to elevate the overall experience to the next level. The service as also very attentive. The waiter answered our questions with patient and smile. I will recommend this restaurant if you come and visit Lucerne.

It was absolutely amazing! The highest level of creativity, taste, combinations and looks. So good. The wineparing was impeccable. And last but not least: an excellent staff. Lead by chef Robert, a nice and rather young man. Congratulations on your team. They all love what they do. And it shows. So nice to see. One minor detail, and probably a personal taste: the ambiance of the restaurant could be improved by more decoration: it’s very clean and sober.

Our lunch at Maihöfli was a wonderful experience. Service was super friendly and attentive, dishes were tasty and beautifully presented and prices were OK by Zurich standards. We look forward to coming back in a different season to see how the menu changes. Highly recommended!
