Maison Kieny

"Not far from Mulhouse, this welcoming former post house (1850) occupies an imposing traditional Alsatian building in the heart of the village. In an elegant, spacious dining room strewn with period details (exposed stones and beams, wood panelling and a stained-glass door), the contemporary menu offers the likes of spaghetti squash, egg cooked to 64°, hazelnuts and bleu d’Auvergne cheese, or medallion of roe deer, celery, wild mushrooms and vanilla-scented game jus." - Michelin Inspector

Very nice food experience. We had the six course dinner (suprise menue). A lot of good and quality dishes. Only the duck was a little bit apart. Every other course and amouse bouche, was a nice refreshing mix between traditional french cusine and modern interpretation. Good value for the money. Super friendly multi-lingual service. New Chef from Mexico even visited the tables. Very nice experience!

This restaurant has given me the best possible experience I could ever have at a restaurant. The waiters were so sweet and tried to help us with all our requests. All the meals are really thought about and complemented each other. I can only give love to everybody that works here. We mentioned that it was our first year wedding anniversary and they congratulated us and treated us extra nice. At the end of the dinner we met the chef who is originally from Mexico. Thanks to everybody that works there!!!!

Amazing food, highly recommend this place. Particularly liked their Japanese fusion touch and all their local products they use. Their homemade bread is so delicious. The staff is very attentive and super kind. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the Alsace area.

Fantastic food, locally sourced and cooked and served by people who have a passion for what they do. It's worth the price for the quality and service.

Wonderful food, Eating at this restaurant was an outstanding journey. The talented chef is gifted with a incredible imagination. The sommelier is proposing a pallet of wines marvelously adapted to each dish. I highly recommend this place. Mat

Very friendly service, attentive to detail. Really liked five out of six dishes from the tasting menu. Worth a visit, if you're passing by!

quite disappointed. this restaurant has good reputation but I went on en evening during the week and was really disappointed with the food. I mean it was nice, but at 30 euro for 1 dish I wait something far better. The alsacian tapas are just small portions of common alsacian dishes (choucroute, Riesling soup, bibelakas, etc) but with nothing special at all. Their specialty was not impressive at all. conclusion : the food is nice but nothing special, service is high, but no sommelier was there, and it's overpriced for what it is. I had a better experience at Auberge du Saint Laurent in Sierentz!!
