Restaurant Matsunoki

Matsunoki Restaurant in Mali Lošinj is a true gastronomic experience, as confirmed by its Michelin award in 2023. 🎖️9/10 🥩: Extraordinary restaurant. Keep in mind it has Michelin recommendation. Offers a decent sized menu, Japanese A5 Wagyu, different types of sushi and nice deserts. Portions are a bit on the smaller side, but incredible in quality. Definitely try sushi - Wagyu A5 🍸: Japanese Sake, classic drinks 👨‍🍳: The staff is legendary. Lana waitress was very polite, helpful, friendly & explained everything there for us. (We asked a lot). Also other staff was very descriptive as well, big props. 🏡: Ambience is beautiful modern and Japanese combo. Regular and half circle couches with dining tables. Also has an outdoor space. 💰 Depends a lot on what you order. About 80 per person. 🥲 Bad things: Tiny thing but the menu could have images, especially for sushi. Also more different drinks 👍👎: Recommended to try something new, something wild. But acknowledge that it is fine dining and it's higher price.

Matsunoki was our favorite place to eat sushi on island Lošinj. Unfortunately, the quality of food is not as good as previous years. The waiter called Filip was also rude and unfriendly with us. He said that restaurant is full which was really interesting because the whole restaurant inside was empty. In such a restaurant, that is unacceptable behaviour. When we talk about prices, it is too expensive for what is offered. I highly do NOT RECOMMEND!

I got the worse experience ever, I travelled from other continent to celebrate with my boyfriend's family and they set the reservation in the wrong day, and no even a call to inform us anything, when the staff informed us that we didn't have any reservations they didn't give us any other options, we travelled from other city only for that restaurant, we ended asking all over for another space available in the hotel. Staff was nice in the Greece restaurant however it's not want we expected. We ended disappointed with the experience.

We had a dinner couple of days ago, big table of 12 people. While the food was good (apart from some grilled ground meat I think is Lamb sucure something, that costs 16€ per piece and is awful), the service was absolute garbage. Total spending was 3.7k and they stopped servicing us well before closing time (at 11:00). Waiters laughed in the corner and talked and ignored us. Glasses were mostly empty. In the end we asked to have s bottle on the table so we can pour it ourself because they were so lousy. They were low on stock on drinks (almost every bottle was the last they had), and in the end we got 0 gratuity or discount for the bad service. We have told them multiple times that they were awful. I do not recommend until they go to service school and learn a thing or two about hospitality.

If I can make rate 0 this restaurant is full of discrimination specially when they see me I’m Philipina They let my boyfriend set outside without choices with poop of bird. That not nice for a five stars hotel or restaurant. For many of my experience to five stars hotel need to be friendly hospitality and make you’re guest feel at home

We didnt try the Sushi cause my wife couldn’t eat it at the moment, but they looked delicious on our neighbors table. We had the Wagyu Gyoza, the beef ribs and teriyaki steak, all were cooked to perfection. Also the deserts where exquisite. Service was very professional and friendly and also the chef came himself to ask if everything was alright after a few minutes after serving the main dish (3 min rule). Will definitely be back to also try the sushi next time and can really recommend this restaurant in the beautiful Bellevue Hotel!

If you want to eat the worst Japanese food imaginable, then you are going to the right place. It’s hard to describe the lack of culinary skills displayed by this kitchen. From the frozen edamame beans to the deep fried softshell crab that looked and tasted like the left over fried batter of a fish and chip shop. I almost never write restaurant reviews, but sometimes you need to stop people from committing culinary suicide!
