MINE

"Hidden away in an attractive courtyard, this rustic little bistro is well worth the climb up the steep High Street. It’s a cosy, welcoming place, where the informality contributes to a light buzz among the contented diners. An open kitchen allows for a good view of the classic, well-crafted cooking, which takes the form of a concise, regularly changing à la carte which relies on local produce. You'd do well to start with the fabulous crab fritter and end with the honey cake." - Michelin Inspector

Delicious food! Everything we had was packed full of flavour, cooked beautifully and well presented. The atmosphere was very chilled and the staff were lovely. Sadly we aren’t local but would definitely love to come back again!

Brilliant. Have been looking for a new favourite restaurant after our old one in Porthleven changed hands. This was fantastic. Crab fritters were as good as others have said. The haddock soufflé, pork tenderloin and mashed potato were packed with flavours. Really well thought through, as everything on each dish worked beautifully together. I don't even like fennel but the caramelised fennel with that incredible creamy mash..good grief. Dessert - chocolate mouse- wasn't quite as special but still very good. The staff were really friendly and it was great seeing the chefs at work. We also enjoyed the intimate atmosphere, it being a small restaurant. Look forward to going again.

Of the 6 restaurants we've been to in Cornwall over the past week, this was without question the best one. Food wise, everything was on point from start to finish. The crab fritter was well balanced and clearly used good quality ingredients. The steak tartare with aioli was sublime, the pork with fennel had an excellent flavour combination and a good size portion of pork. The chocolate mousse dessert was exactly what you'd want from a chocolate mousse. The restaurant is well presented and I loved watching the open kitchen. Service was prompt and friendly, and they gave me the classic dessert with a sparkler and candle in it as it was my birthday, which was a nice touch. The only thing I would say could be improved is the drinks menu. Unless you drink wine, the options are quite limited and the mocktail, the cider and the non alcoholic beer were all just okay, not particularly good. However, overall it's a brilliant restaurant and I would definitely go back.

A lovely cosy restaurant tucked away in a beautiful mews. Delicious food and attentive staff. Everything was beautifully cooked and plated, especially the beef tartare and the monkfish. We had a lovely dinner and will definitely recommend to friends and family

Cozy and intimate restaurant. One of the best meals we had in Cornwall. Highly recommend the salted fish scotch eggs and crab fritters! Make reservations to guarantee a table as the restaurant is fairly small. We spent 90 pounds for two on starters, mains and a dessert.

Really disappointing food - very expensive for quite a bland plate of food, we were really disappointed . The only thing that was super scrummy and incredible value was the crab fritter - that was so yum! But the chicken ravioli , hogget and mushroom ragu just really lacked punch or depth of flavour. Service was good & lovely atmosphere/ decor, just the food was really disappointing . A shame because other people seem to have had much better experiences with the food here - so it really must depend on the menu you receive.

Absolutely unreal. The staff were amazing from start to finish - special shoutout to Holly. Every dish we had was unbelievable. Can’t recommend enough.

Excellent food, so nice to go somewhere where they have thought about the vegan! Lovely stuffed courgette flower for starter and squash for mains with velvety smooth mash and beans. The meat eaters said it was the best pork they had ever eaten. It is expensive (£60 a head no puds, with wine) but for a treat well worth it. Service was efficient, courteous, reserved.
