A small little place, at the nook off a street. Chef is friendly, and he runs this restaurant very well. The "pork chop" is like an atas souvide chinese sio bak but with a Croatian pig which is more fatty. Beef tartare - the Croatian cow taste really different from the cow I'm used to, better, more organic, more subtle beefy. I enjoyed every bit. The atmosphere is great here.

What a special and intimate experience. Feels like you are in his living room. The chef is charming and serves the meals with the help of his son, the food was impeccable, and the wines were delicious and unique. I loved the strong emphasis on local and organic sourcing. My only piece of feedback was that it was too long; 4 hours! It was a nice challenge, but maybe throw in an intermission or try to shrink that down by an hour or so.

Truly a fantastic experience. Excellent fine dining experience! Very intimate and personal service by the whole team(they don’t have dedicated waiters but the staff including the Head Chef Tvrtko serves you). No menu but you can give them your dietary restrictions and they will accommodate. Went for the wine pairing as well which has not only informative but perfect for each dish. Definitely recommend if you are in Zagreb!

This is what fine dining is about!!! A lot of times fine dining revolves around a lot of other things and not food, here the food is the center of universe and it is flawlessly executed by well deserved title of best chef in Croatia. Here the best ingredients from Croatia are turned into explosions of flavors. I can't imagine anyone who loves and enjoys food to leave this place unimpressed. If you are from Croatia, some flavors will bring you back to childhood and if you are foreigner it is the best way to taste real flavors of Croatia.

This was one of the best restaurant experiences. Perfect ingredients, impeccable execution, beautiful plating and interesting presentation. For me this was a new type of dining experience. Definitely not for every day, but very educational regarding local organic ingredients and bio dynamic farming. Would definitly recommend to any one who is an adventurous eater and wants to tray some "ordinary" ingredients executed and presented in a new and interesting way. We also got small wine paring and wines were fantastic also. My favorite dishes were parsnips, octopus, bread, cheese and smoked chocolate.

I decided to wait for few days, reflect on my experience before posting a review. I had super huge expectations based on number of reviews read by various food critics and guests. Expected mind blowing experience and my expectations were partially met. Few courses were simply amazing, few average and 1 I did not like at all. But De gustibus non est disputandum. Menu is interesting, brave and creative combinations, well prepared and nicely presented. Staff is professional, yet friendly and pleasant. Wine pairing did not meet expectations and is definitely not worth the price. Giving the chance to new, innovative wine makers is cool, but not necesarrily good always and definitely not worth the price. Vodka based walnut shots were the best. Advertised as "personal" I would have expected that guests were asked about allergies, food preferences, or things they do not eat. Upfront deposit (portion of the full price) payment to confirm reservation is indeed common practice is some Michelin Star restaurants, here you need to pay full price for the menu and online payment needs improvements as we struggled big time. Overall we had great time and will probably be back when spring/summer comes hoping to taste new menu.

Nav is Restaurant owned by Chef Tvrtko Šakota and it represents his vision about fine dining. It is pretty unique experience in Zagreb. Food is very good and innovative. Wine choice is not the best or ideal one. But there are some very good wines on the list. All in all great addition to Zagreb restaurant scene.

Quite a journey, from tasting menu which was astonishing to wine pairing and presentation, service and staff, ambient and overall experience, friendly and inviting approach yet maintaining top professional level. Thank you Mr Tvrtko Šakota for this day to remember!
