Ochre

"Welcome to the world of Baptiste Renouard, so young yet already a seasoned veteran – he honed his skills for over 14 years, completing stints at Lasserre, Robuchon, Alléno, Laurent and L'Escargot 1903, no less! This is vibrant, joyful and technically flawless cuisine, out of which the chef devises a carte blanche menu. Plants play a major role: 70% of the herbs and flowers used are picked by the chef himself on the nearby island, Île des Impressionnistes. The restaurant is located in a small, semi-pedestrianised street in the town centre. The contemporary interior has stone walls, exposed beams and raw natural materials." - Michelin Inspector

The kitchen and the service were not aligned at all. We reserved a 7 course menu and our dinner started at 8:30 and finished at 0:30 and the 3 final meals were served within 30 minutes of the end of the service. Our table was behind the counter and it constantly felt like we were forgotten, especially considering the hour long break between each meal. The bad timing was really frustrating and influenced negatively the experience. Make sure not to take the extra truffle offer, too expensive for unnecessary pairings. The gastronomical skill was definitely present, the dishes were complex and surprising but unfortunately the experience was ruined by the frustrating mistakes of the service.

We had the 7-course tasting set, which is full of surprises. From the welcome nibbles, amuse bosh, to the final dessert, each of them speak with their aroma, terroir. Will definitely back again for another culinary adventure.

We loved the food -- congratulations to the chef for a very creative menu. The wine pairing was also really well chosen. On the negative side, the restaurant has a complicated website, where menu options need to be carefully chosen when booking the table. So far so good... but when we arrived, all this seemed to be completely irrelevant. The service didn't even know what had been offered on the website, both regarding menus and wine pairing options. My partner, who had chosen a vegetarian 7-course-menu, was told that there were only 4 vegetarian courses on that day. It would have been appropriate to contact us beforehand.

During my recent visit to your restaurant, I encountered several disappointing elements: 1. Starter: The soup with charred endive was overly bitter and difficult to enjoy. 2. Main courses: The scallops were not fresh and had a noticeable fishy smell, and the duck heart with cherries portion was surprisingly small and lacked any culinary creativity. 3. Dessert: The cake, though decent in flavor, seemed like it had been prepared too far in advance and was too firm. Additionally, I was quite surprised to see that the chef and his partner arrived during the meal in casual attire, sat down to chat at a nearby table, and did not enter the kitchen at all during the service. This level of disengagement does not align with the high standards expected at a reputed establishment. I hope these points can be addressed to ensure a better dining experience for future patrons. Thank you for your attention to these matters.

We had a wonderful dinner here. For me it was the epitome of a 1 michelin star restaurant. It took simple ingredients to a different level. I especially loved the petit pois and ris de veau (sweetbreads) courses. They were both magnificent. The wine list is small but well balanced and well priced. I left feeling I had found a little gem. Highly recommended Thank you

A truly remarkable experience. The menu featured classic French dishes like veal sweetbreads and foie gras, giving us a real taste of French cuisine. The waiters took the time to explain each dish in English to our guests. All this in a cozy spot in the western suburbs of Paris. Deserves its star.

The starters were good! But it’s a bit disappointing because of the low-quality service. I noticed that other customers’ coats were properly hung on hangers, but mine was left aside, not well placed. It made me wonder if this was because I am a foreigner. In addition, my husband clearly told them in French that he does not eat intestines and heart this kinda parts, yet they still served him duck heart at the end. Since he is French and spoke in French, I don’t believe this was a misunderstanding. So overall, the experience was disappointing because it doesn’t meet my expectations as a Michelin Restaurant!
