Ristorante Oliveto

It was my husbands birthday and wanted to go to a nice place for lunch. We stumbled upon this restaurant as most nice restaurants are closed for lunch on weekdays and restaurant oliveto offers a nice lunch option. We took the option 3 course menu. This varies every week, so not going into detail of each dish. Just be prepared to be surprised. What we can say is that we loved the starter and the main course. The dessert options were not that good on the day we went but it is more the question of what one likes I guess. But the presentation was on point! We got a seat at the window and hence a view with Rhine river. That was nice too.

Went here two times on my vacation because it was that good! Everything we had exceeded our expectations and the service was perfect! Even when it started to rain outside, they helped everyone move to a spot to stay dry and still enjoy their meal. The location is right on the river which was a beautiful scene to look at while dining.

I decided to celebrate my birthday in a good restaurant. A beautiful restaurant in the very center of the city. The service is very good, the waitresses flutter unnoticed next to you. the food disappointed me. I don’t know why Michelin recommended this place. the food is very mediocre. The menu listed on the website is not correct

The food was fantastic. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars was only because I absolutely liked the tiramisu but didn’t love it (tiramisu is my favorite dessert, so the bar is set pretty high). The service was great as well.

Found this to be a very lovely and peaceful atmosphere to enjoy while staying at the adjoining hotel The Ameron. A large variety of breakfast (buffet style) selections to choose from. Option to dine in or the outside that faces the Rhine River. Great service. We also enjoyed a few cocktails late evening socializing with other guests while enjoying the view.

Unfortunately another rainy, windy and cloudy spring day in Bonn. Therefore dining outside wad not an option. Too bad as the terrace offers a great view on the river Rhine and the Siebengebirge. Nice environment, but the restaurant room is too noisy for having a quiet conversation. Nice people and decent food. However, when serving lobster, one would expect to obtain the necessary tools such tongs and pen... The house Tiramisu was great, the green peppers give it an additional flavour. It even becomes hot and spicy when you eat them ...

Spent an entire week in the hotel above. Was at the restaurant the whole week at least once. I met one wonderful waiter. Everyone else was quite rude and unattentive. The restaurant manager appeared outright hostile. They'll have an emtpy restaurant but tell people they're fully booked. And you observe them from upstairs and they're just empty the whole time.

The best thing about this restaurant was the location. Next to the river, terrace, sunny day. Food was not worth the price. Small quantities, delicious but nothing exceptional. We were not satisfied or disatisfied with the service. It was just weird when we were constantly being asked if we want anything else. Eg do you want starters, dessert, coffee, wine. We already ordered everything of course. So it felt like we were being pushed and that was uncomfortable. I would only recommend it for the location.

Ich kam für ein Mittagessen ohne Reservierung in diesem Hotelrestaurant vorbei und saß auf der großen, schönen Außenterrasse mit direktem Blick auf den Rhein. Auf der begrenzten Mittagskarte gab es nur 12 Gerichte. Aber ich denke, der Koch versteht "Portionskontrolle" nicht. Zumindest war das Tiramisu normal groß. Aber die anderen Teller, die ich bestellt hatte, hatten ein zu großes Zanderfilet, zu viele (8 cm x 4 cm) Tortellini und zu viel schwarzen Trüffel. Ich kann nicht glauben, dass ich das gerade gesagt habe. Aber das Essen war sehr gut, genauso wie die Kellner. Das einzige Problem waren die vielen herumfliegenden gelben Hornissen. Aber ich würde trotzdem wiederkommen. / I stopped in for a "no-reservation" lunch at this hotel-restaurant, and was seated on the large, beautiful outdoor patio directly overlooking the Rhein. There were only 12 items on the limited lunch menu. But I think the chef does not understand "portion control." At least, the Tiramisu was normal sized. But, the other plates I ordered had too large a zander filet, too many (8cm x 4cm) tortellini, too much black truffle. I can't believe I just said that. But all the food was very good, as were the servers. The only problem was all of the yellow hornets flying around. But I would still return. 2023 09 03. M0.

Wonderful restaurant! Great service (was a little slow, but I was with a large group so it may not be a fair evaluation). Friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with, though. Excellent food. Beef carpaccio to die for, amazing desserts, excellent foccaccia. I didn't love the seabass and root vegetables, however. It wasn't bad, but not really my thing. Beautiful view of the Rhine! Would love to return.
