"This establishment has been run by the Fuchs family for 35 years, and these days, it is Rolf and Manuela Fuchs who are in charge. The modern, elegant restaurant atop Hartlisberg boasts not only a chic atmosphere but also a truly magnificent view of Thun and the mountains – a spot on the terrace is a must! The chef-patron's cuisine is no less of a draw. It is modern, yet clearly classical in its foundations, making for dishes that are robust and expressive. As a matter of course, the ingredients are sourced locally as possible. There is a decent wine selection, and astute recommendations come courtesy of the friendly, professional waitstaff." - Michelin Inspector

Panorama - Bistro

"This attractive alternative to the Cayenne offers excellent cuisine at a very reasonable price. Although the dishes are simpler in style, they are prepared with equal sophistication using quality regional produce, always with a certain modern twist. Attentive service, plus the same wine list as in the Cayenne. Wonderful views!" - Michelin Inspector

good food, but too expensive. The service is friendly and seems a little bit desoriented. The Location is cool with nice view. You can choose ‚High end‘ or ‚Bistro‘ seating, sharing the same kitchen. Bistro is recommended, high end compartment is petty bourgeoise mentality (unless you like this 😂)

Had lunch there last Saturday. Everyone was sitting inside, we asked to sit outside on their magnificent terrace, not a problem at all. Nothing is every a problem at this place, the service is impeccable. This restaurant has all the wonderful things- spacious terrace, amazing food, calm relaxing place, beautiful stunning views, local food and dishes leveled up. Excellent presentation. We had the beef tartare that was like butter. And fish with fresh perfectly cooked vegetables. The salmon avocado tacos, are so beautiful to look and so fresh and tasty. Lots of non alcoholic options. We had a wonderful Saturday lunch! And dog friendly!

Upon entering you are immediately greeted by super friendly hosts. This is then almost topped by the stunning view. And on top of all that, the food is beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. What an amazing experience!

Went to dinner with collegues, very friendly and professional staff, location super with an amazing view over the Thun city and surrounding panorama, excellent food. Definetly worth a comeback.

High end gourmet restaurant with top notch food and views. We could sit on the terrace the time we visited, which has great views of the Thun area. The food was excellent, with nice combinations and great presentation. The amuse bouche was probably the most elaborate thing I have seen so far, and quite a positive surprise. The service was super friendly and attentive. Some things we did not like though: the portions are too small in my view, specially for the high price point. After amuse bouche, appetizer and main course we were still hungry. And the fish main course came wrapped in some ham, which made it then a problem for our vegetarians in group, this could have been mentioned either on menu or by server. 4.5 stars.

Yelp
The most spectacular view anywhere near Bern or Thun absolutely stunning! Be sure you get a seat in the gourmet restaurant (Cayenne) and allow yourself enough time to sample his gourmet menu. Rolf Fuchs won a world cooking championship as a chef and has worked with and been coached by some of Switzerland's best chefs, including Philippe Rochat, Daniel Bumann and Robert Speth. His cuisine is based on a classical French foundation, augmented by modern technology and his boundless creativity. He's an artist: His paintings adorn the gourmet restaurant, hinting at his culinary artistry, which is as colourful as his paintings. In a word, his cuisine is surprising. You don't really know what you're getting into when you first visit the Fuchs family's restaurant, but you'll never forget the food or the view. They don't have a dedicated pastry chef, but make very good desserts. His crème brulée beats all others in terms of beauty and creativity, a real eye-catcher! A molecular (i.e. frozen in liquid nitrogen) ball of yoghurt, flavoured with ginger, orange and mint was another spectacular surprise. His brownies, made with Valrhona Grand Cru couverture from France, are the best we've had so far even better than mine! Order the special pralines you'll be surprised! The service in the gourmet restaurant is absolutely perfect, flawless in every way.
