Restaurant Paradoxe

I booked a table at 8pm with Google booking because they don't take reservations through phone. We arrived 10min early, everything was closed, the crew saw us through the window but left us waiting outside. We were confused... We'd expected someone to come to us and let us know they do not open the doors before 8... (No indication on the board outside nor on the door) As it was my wife's birthday, I went to the desk as soon as we arrived and asked the waitress if they could do a little something, she kindly answered with a smile "of course, we'll put something together for you". I waited through the entire diner, but nothing happened. I wasn't expecting much, a single candle with the dessert would have sufficed... The waitress offer to pick 2 glasses of wine Overall, we had a mixed experience. The food was good, no "waouh effect" thought. Because of the lack of attention from the staff we won't be coming back. Also the price range doesn't reflect the service.

If you are looking for good fine dining food, this is a good spot and is very well priced, despite being in a crummy part of town. The let down was the service. First we had the door slammed in our face as we arrived 5 minutes early and were told to wait on the pavement till our booking. We then waited 20 minutes for any service once seated. Following ordering our wine, we were brought a different vintage because of stock, but not told - very poor hospitality.

Amazing food at a reasonable price. The wine list was full of interesting picks. Definitely Michelin star grade food! Highly recommend for small and larger parties as the service is very consistent.

Food is amazing, service was flawless, if you are in Bordeaux you must go there

Amazing food and excellent service. I paid significantly more than I was willing on this particular night but it was worth every cent.
