We dined at Renilde, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. We opted for the 6-course menu, but the portion sizes were so enormous that we felt bloated by the third course. The menu was heavily plant-based, with just one chicken dish and one seafood dish, making the price feel unjustified. To make matters worse, nearly every dish included some sort of foam—clearly, they were overly excited about a new foam machine. By the end, we were completely tired of it.
To add to the frustration, they served us the main dish before the starter. They only realized the mistake after we had already finished our main course. Since it was a surprise menu, we hadn’t noticed until they brought out the missed starter dishes. As an apology, they served us three glasses of an experimental red wine, even though we were in the middle of enjoying a bottle of dry white wine. The red wine clashed with the moment and ruined the vibe even further.
Overall, it was a very poor experience, from the disorganized service to the uninspired and excessive food choices. Definitely not a place we’d recommend or revisit.
