"This townhouse in the heart of Regensburg has a long history behind it. It has been an inn for centuries, with the earliest written record of it dating back to the 13C. Maximilian Schmidt now represents the third generation of the family to take the helm. In a pleasingly informal atmosphere, they serve up modern cuisine marked by the chef's refreshingly individual flair. International influences are seamlessly woven in, achieving fantastic results in dishes such as lahmacun with pulled piglet's tail, and Korean-style fried veal sweetbreads with gochujang. The regional sturgeon "from Marco" is also exceptional, and comes accompanied by a velvety burnt cream and pine oil sauce, along with delicately sour pickled white asparagus. You can opt for a three-, five- or eight-course dinner. A shorter set menu is served at lunchtime on Fridays and Saturdays. Should you wish to stay overnight, individually decorated guestrooms are available in the hotel." - Michelin Inspector

Super nice dinner! The food was interesting, unexpected, creative and very delicious. If you would want to find anything thing to complain: We went there at 18:30 for the tasting menu and left after 23:30 without hanging around at the bar or anything. It just took very long between courses. That didn’t matter since we had great conversations and could enjoy the food. You can add extra dishes to the already long menu which we did. Totally worth it and probably a contributing factor to the time. Staff was quite friendly and the alcohol-free pairing interesting but not ground breaking. Still definitely worth a try if you don’t want the long wine flight. We were sure this will get a second star soon ⭐️⭐️

Enjoyed a wonderful 8 course tasting menu. Every dish was brilliantly presented and tasted amazing. Service was professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Juice pairing was excellent, tasty and well thought through. Needs another star for sure.

The "Experience Dinner" was a very delicious experience. The menu featured 8 courses plus 4 free additions, each a masterpiece of the kitchen crew combined with perfect service. The dining room is styled in dark colors with some golden highlights. A fitting but not perfect styling. Thanks for the awesome evening and keep up the good work.

It's not your typical restaurant, it's fine dining! Food was excellent, well presented and not too overcomplicated. Drinks, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic, were perfectly selected to each course. A great plus for considering my shellfish allergy in the tasting menu!

A restaurant with a star - and it shows. Regensburg is known for big servings of mediocre food with beer. Here you get the antithesis: really good food, prepared with love by Max, served with dedication by a young team, accompanied by wines selected tastefully by a witty Sommelier. Save yourself the a-la-carte trouble and just choose the menu: those people do have a pretty good idea of what they are doing. The food is not just great but often also surprising in a nice way. Drinks are well selected and the patisserie is rock solid. A very nice evening you shall have there.

We were thoughtfully seated so our dog was out of the way. The welcome and all the service was friendly, informative and efficient. The food was original and highly inventive, using clever and unexpected ingredients. Most of all, delicious and engaging. The wine pairing was cleverly selected and complemented the food perfectly. Overall, a delightful evening.

Phenomenal dishes and service! 5 and 8 courses were inspirational and eye-opening. A real Michellin experience. Thanks!

Pretty good food, large servings, and reasonable pricing. I would give 5 stars for the combination of taste, price & servings, but 4 stars for taste alone. Wines were good.
