Restaurant Rotonde

Very good vegetarian restaurant. We went for a 5 course menu, which basically consists of a subset of the a la carte options. Very friendly service. The food was excellent, creative preparations full of flavour.

What a lovely experience! My mom and I celebrated our last evening of her visit in Rotterdam at Rotonde and thoroughly enjoyed it. We went for the 5 course menu and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and unique, and the wine pairings were on point. The staff was friendly and attentive from beginning to end. I would say that Rotonde is a culinary adventure. Expect to be surprised and be open to new combinations. If you can do so, it will definitely be worth it!

Had a really pleasant dining experience last evening with a friend, didn’t have a reservation but stuff was super friendly and welcoming, had a nice table outdoors. If you’re in doubt what to order, just like we were, highly recommend 4-5 or 6 course menu, we chose 4-course menu, didn’t regret our decision and got to try dishes we wouldn’t choose on our own. Perfect spot for a date or dinner with friends. Super friendly stuff, nice serving, delicious dishes. Will definitely visit again

It was an experience of organic food. Every dish had a unique flavour. We ordered a 6 course meal. I personally loved the dessert very much

They promised vegetables — and they delivered. Just not much else. The concept is cool, the branding well done, the place fully booked. Expectations were high. But after 2.5 hrs, five courses, and a forgettable wine pairing, we were still waiting for the food/wine to get interesting. Dishes lacked depth and surprise. Service was kind but slow. The final twist? A €250+ bill for three. The most complex part of the evening was the check. Great marketing, no doubt. I won’t be back… but there’s always room for another optimist at the table.

We had a great evening at Restaurant Rotonde where their focus on sustainable vegetarian dishes really stood out. Highlight of the night was the grilled mushrooms on skewers—absolutely delicious. I also discovered some beautiful organic wines on their list, which paired perfectly with the meal. It’s a place I’d definitely recommend for anyone looking for thoughtful, plant-based cuisine.

We made reservations for King's Day evening. While most people in the train go home, we go to restaurant Rotonde. Not knowing what to expect I open the door. The place is more than half full and we can pick a spot. Next thing we hear is that all the normal staff got a day off and that they are running the service with 3 people tonight... okay?! Once seated, we get the menu very quickly and I ask for a 5 coarse diner and wine to go with that. And yes, of course we'll share food. This way we get to taste 10 different dishes and we discuss which we like most. I really like the idea of using local food, because these ingredients didn't fly half the planet to make it to our plates. All dishes we eat are well prepared, extremely tasteful (I fully disagree with reviews stating otherwise) and nicely presented. It's great fun to see the staffs knowledge on what they serve and the enthusiasm they serve it with. Having a great evening comes from small details like wonderful company, excellent food or staff that even though it's busy, plays the music from lp. Yes, we will definitely come again. Thanks for a delightful evening and superb food!

Two words: Amazing food. Having said that, the atmosphere of the place is a little rustic, but they had good background music. The service is beyond amazing, very friendly and helpful. Assortment of wine is also very good. Not sure if it's worth the price for everything, like 15€ for two potatoes or three mushrooms with some sauce. But everything tasted very delicious.
