That’s the thing with these Michelin-starred restaurants, you really expect a lot. Our party of four took the tasting menu. I mean, you don’t really have a lot of choice. You take the tasting menu or you don’t eat there. In total, there were around 10 tiny portions of dishes, served to us. Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of sashimi or anything that is raw. I knew that before we came to the restaurant so I was really not quite enthusiastic about our dinner. However, in fairness to the restaurant and the chef, those that I managed to eat such as the cod, spring roll, the Wagyu beef, and some desserts were of excellent quality. My companions of course raved about the food including one who took the vegan menu.
The wait staff is really friendly and quite attentive. If you have pets, you can bring them to the restaurant. We had a tiny dog with us and she was treated like a queen. She had her bowl of water and she was even given fine food. Even the waiter volunteered to walk the pooch. Price wise, we all know how much these things cost, and they are horribly expensive. But then again I wouldn’t want to eat like this every day (nor can I afford to cough up 180 euros for a dinner, if you can call it that) and also spend a long time going through the tasting menu - we were there for four hours - the last ones to leave. I guess it was the combination of good company and good food that made the night a success, somehow.
