Had a lovely romantic dinner here, and we were lucky enough to get a table on the quiet and private terrace at the back. We went for the rather fabulous five course Apicius menu (75 EUR), which was a lot of food but featured so many of our top picks for the A La Carte menu.
We started with scallops serves with lardons, sweet potato and truffle oil - divine! Then there was a rather impressive sweet tomato lasagna with lobster (with the claw clambering out of the bowl!). That was followed by the most delicious roasted lamb with fresh mushrooms and this parmesan crisp, which really brought out the sweetness of the lamb. We rounded things off with a most impressive cheeseboard, which meant we had to sample some more local Cancoillote and Comte. I have to say at that point I sort of gave up, unusual for me with my sweet tooth, but I was so full I couldn't face dessert!
Lovely service, friendly place and a little more upmarket than the average place in Besancon. Definitely worth a visit!
