What a great experience at this recent opened Tanja Grandits restaurant. Food is amazing and the maitre Edy made us an incredible wine pairing with the 4 step menu, just great!! A big thank you to the entire team as the service was superb!

Two days prior to our dinner, I called the restaurant hoping for a stroke of luck. Much to our delight, a cancellation allowed them to accommodate my family on Saturday. It turned out to be an evening of perfection, surpassing all our previous dining experiences in Basel, including those at other Michelin-starred establishments. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us warmly by name, a gesture that immediately elevated the atmosphere. Unlike traditional menus, Mrs. Marugg personally visited each table to detail the evening’s offerings. The dishes, a symphony of fresh ingredients and impeccable presentation, captivated our senses. The attentive staff, led by Mrs. Marugg, sought our opinions after each course, enhancing the interactive experience. Opting for the wine pairing proved to be a wise choice, as each selection harmonized flawlessly with the cuisine. This unforgettable dining journey unquestionably stands out as the pinnacle of our Michelin-starred experiences in Basel.

This restaurant is always a wonderful place for a family dinner. Mrs Marugg is so sweet and the food is delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone who would like to have a fine dining experience

The setting in the outside area was perfect, the food was delicious and obviously prepared with a lot of care and attention. The hospitality of the staff was outstanding, when in Basel I would not eat dinner anywhere else, amazing place!!

i heard of this restaurant because they once composed the menu in the first class of SWISS airlines and also they have the highest ranking (gault millau, michelin) in the region of Baselland. on my birthday i searched for a restaurant, and i thought its finally time to try this one out! Food: they offer a different degustation-menu daily. which means theres no a la carte, but obviously if you don't like a meal, they would make something special for you. it was a 4-course meal and cost 120.- quite pricey but totally worth it! every meal was excellent!!! Service: young personnel and the owner was very nice. she is the host and takes the orders, while her husband works in the kitchen. Atmosphere: it is in the outer skirts of basel but not too far away and right next to the main street. the interior is very modern and fits the restaurant. they also have an outside area which is very nice in summer and also quiet because the street is on the other side of the house. I came here with high expectations as this is the highest rated restaurant in the canton of baselland. and the expections were even exceeded!! they totally deserve their rating and i'll surely be back!! :)
