"Slightly out of the bustling city centre, this smart, yet subdued façade reveals a comfortably cosy interior. The chef, Victor Ostronzec has been honing his undeniable talent here since 2016. He stands out from the crowd with his technical, creative cuisine and often inspired plating, and always has something new to offer up his sleeve. His desire to astound is embodied by the fact that he only offers surprise menus in the evening. The polished front of house team adds the final flourish to this culinary portrait." - Michelin Inspector

Excellent food quality. A taste of fusion in Oriental and European food. Every dish including Tea/coffee/snacks is with great details. Service is good. All dishes are delivered in good time. We really enjoyed dining in Solena. Definitely will go again if we visit Bordeaux in future.

Amazing experience! For lunch it was a good menu option consisting of some starters, entry plate, main dish (which they were able to adapt to my allergy) and two desserts.

Google
A well deserved Michelin star for their food! We came for dinner and ordered the 5-course plats menu at €95. But i got more than my stomach can handle as it’s like gift that keeps on giving, leaving me so satiated. The chef took me through a carefully planned gastronomical journey that married the best of sea and earth with tantalising twist of flavours. After your entrée, they serve you a slice of bread to be enjoyed with the olive oil they bottle themselves that tasted almost like you are eating a black olive to cleanse your palette before the main. The meal is absolutely worth every penny as you will only be served with the best seasonal ingredients. For a Michelin star restaurant, the service could be a little more attentive. Ambiance is not pretentious making this place great for casual dining with friends or your loved ones. Food : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambiance : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fairly new fine dining restaurant in the Bordeaux hotel area. This is a calm and beautiful restaurant with a very classy and thought through concept. Excellent service and delicious servings. Very good wine pairings. Candidate for Michelin star for sure

Amazing from start to finish, food was out of this world, the front of the house were brilliant very knowledgable and friendly they made our night. Tasting menu of 6 courses with wine pairing ended up being 10 courses, what a place will be back next year, thanks

Google
Eating at Soléna was like eating at your friends house who you haven't seen for a long time... but in that long time, they went out and got a culinary arts degree and a Michelin Star. It felt warm and comfortable. You felt welcome to talk about what was being presented for you. A fantastic balance of classic local items in season with a fun creative twist. The wait staff was fantastic and knowledgeable. The cooking staff was something to watch as there is a small window to see them at work. If anyone is looking for a food experience no less amazing than the local architecture, go check out Sooléna.

Amazing services, heavenly like presentation of food and taste, speechless for all, it is worthy to name it" spiritual food of France". Best choice in Bordeaux for real French cuisine.

Yelp
The 6 course meal covered all the must haves when visiting this region of France. They included seared foie gras, duck and truffles. Presentation of the food was on point for a 1 Michelin starred restaurant. Most dishes were served with sauces but several of the sauces were repeated across courses. Still, I was pleased with the flavors of the food across most of the courses. Service was good. They were very accommodating by speaking English to us, despite some of them being a little less fluent. I felt bad I could not speak French considering I am in France. The prices were very reasonable compared to what a 1 Michelin starred restaurant would cost back home in California, USA. Two 6 course meals + two wine pairing cost roughly 350 euros. Unfortunately there were 2 instances of dissatisfaction with our experience. The first was finding a strand of hair mixed in with the food on one of the dishes. I sent it back and they quickly made another one. The second was biting into a shot gun pellet while eating the duck. Guess it was nice to see it must have been wild caught but they should have done a better job to remove the pellet as it could break one's teeth or cause other harm from digesting it. I was a little worried we would be underdressed but most people were dressed smart casual (sneakers, clean looking jeans and a buttoned shirt or sweater). Overall, I was pleased with our meal and experience. I would have rated this a 5 star experience had it not been for the the hair and shot gun pellet.

Yelp
We came to France for a river cruise. We decided last minute to try one of the many Michelin Star restaurants in the Bordeaux region. This one came recommended by the Maitre d of the ship. We ordered the 5 course meal with wine pairing. Every selection was absolutely amazing and full of flavor. There wasn't a single thing I didn't like about this place. The best part was getting to meet the chef afterwards. Thank you for a memorable experience in Bordeaux. I will definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Recommend this place! We had the 6 course meal and were very pleased. The food, the presentation, the service, everything was superb.

Yelp
Loved the dinner experience at this cozy restaurant. I was impressed by the way each course was prepared and presented. It's a small restaurant and staff pays attention to every detail. Food was excellent and service was super, and my guests were totally happy!!

Yelp
I would give this a 3.5 star. It's small restaurant away from the city center. We came here because of the reviews from Tripadvisor and Yelp. So we did have high expectations going in. The presentation is excellent but the tastes is still not nearly up there yet. The amuse bouche - carrots topped with some cream. First course - some meat patties with cream sauce. I think cream is overused. The white asparagus has a bitter taste to it. Didn't really go well with the cracker. Dessert looks pretty but not really satisfying. It's more like a nice homecooked meal. Worth a try if you're in town

Yelp
Search it on the Michelin website. I wouldn't expect there are 7 courses. Taste is good but for me the source of main course is kind of sweet. And use too much foie gras that makes me feel like I have to throw up.

Yelp
This intimate neighborhood restaurant is a culinary delight. The format is a "chef surprise" menu that is out of this world; we had the 4 course meal; each course was exquisitely prepared, light to the touch and expressive to the palate. We highly recommend this establishment.

Yelp
Absolutely the best meal I've ever had. We chose it to get away from the tourists a bit on a vacation (even though we were also tourists!). Every bite was amazing. We did the 6 course meal, and so glad we did. The service, the presentation, the taste....everything was 5 stars. I've never eaten at a Michelin 3 star, but I can't imagine the food being any better.

Yelp
This is one SUPERB kitchen. Very small place off the beaten path but WOW! Totally worth the effort. Come now before they start pulling down Michelin stars. The food is that serious. The amuse bouche was an appetizer by itself: 2 small bowls, one with sea eel and quinoa, the other octopus in a (very light) hollandaise. Small, but the flavors packed a real punch. My app was what I call a "foie gras ice cream sandwich": smooth, silky, rich foie gras packed between thin, crispy, delicious wafers, accompanied by pureed quince, marinated strawberries and micro greens. Best plate of food I had during my week in France. Then a plate of lamb prepared in different styles. Excellent. At that point I was faced with dessert, but NO! I refused! I asked the hostess Serena (wife of the chef) to please bring something else, maybe a piece of fish. (I made the mistake of ordering the 3 course meal instead of the 5 course meal). Soon enough it was before me, brilliantly prepared and presented. Dessert was a simple cake (looked like gingerbread), very tasty, topped with slices of mango, accompanied by cream cheese ice cream and a tuile covered in (I'm guessing) cocoa beans. Outstanding meal, reasonably priced for the quality.
