Extremely unprofessional and rude behavior. I ordered my steak rare, but it arrived well done. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, the owners created a 20-minute argument over it. What shocked me most was being told that I should have said “blue”, because they apparently did not know that blue is actually rare. This level of ignorance combined with arrogance is unacceptable in a restaurant. The overall attitude was rude, dismissive, and highly unprofessional. Experiences like this make it clear that not everyone should be running a restaurant. This is the first Google review I have ever written, which shows how shocking this experience truly was.

A great experience!!! From the amazing views over Gstaad, beautiful landscape and garden, to the super nice service (we had a dog that they prepared a special meal for), to the succulent dishes!!! Don’t miss the area specialty the émincé de vœu with rôstic and mushrooms!!! I’d even drive 2hrs for this experience ! Amazing experience combining the most breathtaking view & exceptional food. Everything was freshly made, the bread is homemade with a variety, even the butter with local herbs served! One of the best meat I have ever tasted and of course don't miss their special rösti! The owners and staff were super kind and always at our disposal for anything we would wish to have during our lunch. Don't miss this gem while being in the area!

The welcoming atmosphere and owners' kindness made the experience exceptional. The stroganoff filet and tuna carpaccio were delicious. Top-notch service! A must-visit.

I was back to the Sonnenhof and nothing is changed: always an amazing food and a fantastic service.We enjoyed the nice dinner,with a smart talking between the courses and of course everything accompained by a good, interesting red wine.

Probably the top non-hotel based restaurant in the Gstaad area. Nestled in a large chalet, high up on the hill. The most gorgeous view of Gstaad. During the day for lunch you can enjoy the sunny terrace and at night from inside there's a gorgeous view of Gstaad and the twinkling lights. Easy parking and you enter under a wooden archway and that's when the superb view hits full on. Spectacular. Fantastic service. They are famous for the local Sibebenthal beef served on a hot stone at the table. It basically cooks and sizzles as you watch it. The salad maché with fresh Perigord truffles is superb. I love the classic veal in a cream sauce with mushrooms and a perfect finely grated rösti. Amazing foie gras (they have a terrine and also a grilled version). Super wine list. It is very expensive, though. Portions are small and even basic dishes are higher priced here than many other restaurants. However the quality, service and view is superb. The restaurant is very cozy. Wonderful for a special dinner or lunch.

Considered one of the absolute top restaurants in the area. Seabass is outstanding. Excellent service Amazing views from terrace all year Lamb chops are also excellent Rather pricey but it's Gstaad so that is the norm but they deliver excellent food and service This is the invitation to accept or a perfect invitation to offer to those you really care about.
