Restaurant Stable

Beautiful, modern restaurant near the “castle” In Edegem. Pleasant seating, music somewhat “to present“ at times. We opted for the 7 courses, including the signature dish, no wine pairing but chose our own bottle/glass per dish(es). Very beautiful plates and delicious ingredients, not much to comment there. Although : most explanation of the dishes is given when serving the course, which is common and needed given the short description on the menu, sadly its is “rattled” that you only catch/understand half of it which is a pitty because you want to know all the components & ingredients on the plate. Service was mmmkay.., a young team was working that could use some more experience. We found a hair in one of the dishes ( in the oyster🦪) which is very unpleasant at the start of your menu, in my opinion this situation could have been dealt with better by the staff. Overall good experience but for this (price) level of dining some you expect great. (Hence the 4 stars) Visited on a Friday evening in August.

Possibly the best meal i have ever had. What a lovely, low-key and quietly luxurious experience. The food was amazing - simple and balanced flavors that didn’t try too hard but made the best of what is available locally and seasonally. In a setting that was understated and simply gorgeous in an old stable (hence the name). Unobtrusive and excellent service from our lovely server Malho from entry, throughout dinner, to the call to the driver to take us back to our hotel. Worth every penny and every minute we were there.

Absolutely gorgeous experience. The Stable is situated on a lovely domain on the old grounds of the baron of Edegem (childhood memories!). The food was truly amazing. Every dish tingled the taste buds with very original flavors. Everyone at our table was very enthusiastic about it. The service was great. Knowledgeable explanation with a very casual vibe. The wine pairing was a journey of tastes. We didn't like all of them but got the opportunity to taste and compare a lot of wines, so very interesting. I will definitely recommend this place and it's only a matter of time until they get their first Michelin star ⭐

Best in its class. Great quality for its price. Usually, in a 6-7 course meal, there is one dish that's not that great. This is definitely not the case here. Piece by piece fantastic courses. There is also a real alternative to wine. Each course has a worthy alcoholic free alternative.

The place with a concept ! With beautiful architecture, meals excellent from beginning to end, all high quality ingredients and natural wines, great service and explanations, and ending with coffee &oliebollen in the garden with herbs. Loved especially that the waitress and chef asked for feedback, we felt welcome to openly share =)

Excellent restaurant. Delicate flavours with nice acidity. Interesting wine list as well. Scenery also quite spectacular
