Restaurant Sternen Kriegstetten

Very nice restaurant in an old hotel, professionally maintained and very clean The staff was very polite and friendly even though we had some language barriers. The food was delicious, good taste, and well prepared at the right proportions. There is plenty of parking around the facility. I recommend them.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Sternen at Kriegstetten village, Switzerland. I stopped here for a quick break on my road trip while charging my car at the Tesla Supercharger in the hotel parking lot. The experience was excellent! I tried their apple turnover with vanilla cream, and it was absolutely delicious. The cream was rich, smooth, and had a strong vanilla flavor, while the apple turnover itself was well-balanced—not too greasy, not too sweet—just perfect. I also had a Verveine tea, and I was pleasantly surprised by their selection of organic teas. The service was friendly, and the hotel has a charming old-fashioned romantic vibe. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great spot for a relaxed break. Highly recommended!

Came here to charge our Tesla. And it’s perfect for kids!! . Beautiful big green spaces with shade and many different playgrounds for kids, sandpit, swings, and even a zip line! And slides. Really really peaceful you can hear all the birds.theres a limited takeaway menu (sandwich soup salad) . I see weddings that celebrated here often. It’s really pleasant.

I liked this place very much. The food is at Michelin’s quality and beauty! The service is also excellent.

Nice location, but service was unbelievably slow. We were rudely asked «what would you like» before having received any menus two minutes after being show to our table. Ordered drinks, but they didn’t show up for 10 minutes in an half empty restaurant. Once we decided to leave we had to chase down the waiter in a doorway to pay for the not yet received drinks. 10,40 chf for a glass of water and a coke.

I cannot express how much I loved our entire experience here. The hotel grounds are peaceful and beautiful. The servers were so very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our food in the outdoor garden.

The Star is a wholesome, friendly inn. Perfect for an alternative to roadside service stations. We had the salad, soup and alkoholfrei beer.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon to have lunch with my wife and daughter. Plenty of very friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful decorated and maintained. Lovely mix of period details and modern functionality. We had the schnipo which we enjoyed a lot. Generous portions. Not the cheapest but you do get value for money.
