I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Sternen at Kriegstetten village, Switzerland.
I stopped here for a quick break on my road trip while charging my car at the Tesla Supercharger in the hotel parking lot. The experience was excellent!
I tried their apple turnover with vanilla cream, and it was absolutely delicious. The cream was rich, smooth, and had a strong vanilla flavor, while the apple turnover itself was well-balanced—not too greasy, not too sweet—just perfect. I also had a Verveine tea, and I was pleasantly surprised by their selection of organic teas.
The service was friendly, and the hotel has a charming old-fashioned romantic vibe. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great spot for a relaxed break. Highly recommended!
