Stylish place with superb service and food. 25/08/21 update, as good as ever, Halibut and Tartar superb, service impeccable (thanks Chris!), the two starters we had were mind blowing (Tomato salad and the salmon)

A perfect stay. Fantastic food and service. Fish is a must. Ask for the dry aged cuts, it's fantastic.

We visited this restaurant just for wine but we would like to come back to try food. Nice atmosphere, great wine selection!

The manager, Ondrej, was very rude and unreasonable. It is his way or the highway, there is no scope to discuss matters reasonably. I was meant to attend the restaurant on Christmas Day with my girlfriend but I fell ill with food poisoning and spent Christmas Day and the following day terribly ill in bed. It was a horrible Christmas. We called Ondrej on Christmas Day to cancel the reservation hours before we were due to be there. On the phone Ondrej never mentioned the cancellation fee, nor offered for us to eat at another time or for my girlfriend to come and pick up the food because she was not ill. Regardless, Ondrej charged us €50 pp for a €65 pp meal we could not eat. Ondrej was dishonest. We tried to ask for the fee to be waived or reduced because of my illness and Ondrej was not receptive. We wrote a long list of reasons and he ignored them. Ondrej is also a hypocrite because of the justification he gave to another patron, Mi Schwarz (who left a negative Google review), to explain why the restaurant had to cancel their reservation (eg, his staff were sick). Ondrej employs arguments that suit his financial interest (eg, my staff are sick so we had to cancel your reservation at the last minute with no compensation) and then will reject those same arguments when his patrons try to explain their special circumstances (eg, I was suffering from an illness which meant I could not attend). He does not care what reason causes someone to be unable to attend, he will simply charge them a cancellation fee which clearly far exceeds the cost incurred by the cancellation. Unfortunately, Ondrej probably lacks empathy. I would strongly recommend not to eat here because you would be supporting management who is unprofessional and unpleasant.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant with the most amazing brunch. We celebrated here the day after our wedding with our friends and family and from start to finish everything was perfect - easy communication, excellent service, nothing was too much trouble, they totally understood what we wanted and created a special vegan and vegetarian brunch buffet - our guests were blown away and so were we. Boat rental right downstairs also a huge bonus - we will definitely be back when we are visiting Hamburg. Thank you to everyone at Stueffel for being so kind and professional and making our post-Wedding Sunday relaxed and wonderful!!!!

Good food, friendly staff and live cooking along the riverside

Ok, but not great. Great and attentive service, but food not convincing and on the whole too expensive for what it offers. Nice views on the terrace. Won't come back.

Excellent place in Hamburg. Perfect service. Delicious food and tasty drinks. Perfect place to spend time.....and rent a boat
