Restaurant 't Havenmantsje

Excellent restaurant for lunch and dinner. Food is superb! The wine choices with the food was great. Definitely worth a visit.

Exquisite, creative, and inspired cuisine, nice and cosy atmosphere. The food was amazing, prepared with great care. Presentation of the stuff could be polished, but it's compensated with genuine politeness and care for guests. Timing between courses was also very nice. We weren't bombed with courses just throwing at us, without some time in between for impression and flavours to settle down. The atmosphere is very nice, very casual which brings it more to the enjoyment of the food. Value for the money.

Fabulous dinner. The food was delicious!!! Every course tasted fantastic. The staff were superb. Can highly recommend the surprise menu. Still dreaming about that carrot soup.

My partner and I landed here via socialdeal for a five course menu. We were greated by a relatively small yet cozy restaurant with a modern interior and a great view on the harbour. After being seated, we had received some small and tasty starters, followed by a bread basket with delicious butter and olive oil, and the asparagus cappuchino with an merengue on top. After that we received a variety of dishes (see photo's), where the star of the night was the ceviche with bass and apple, followed by the plate with the beef cut and potatoes. Overall it was a very tasty 5 course meal with mosty dutch dishes and ingredients. The drink selection was also fine, with some nice local options( especially for the beer enjoyers). The staff was very friendly and explained all the dishes well, especially to my english-speaking partner. At the end we were unfortunately greeted with a "weekendtoeslag" which was an additional 15€ for coming in during the weekend. I have never experienced that before and it was a bit of a sour aftertaste on an otherwise great evening. If there was no weekendtoeslag, I would have rated this restaurant 5 stars

Simply incredible food . We enjoyed the 5 course dinner and all I can say is that each course got better and better

Very good! We had a surprise menu and every dish was very well thought out. Mine had a lot of duck and goose meat where my wife had the vegetarian option. The service was impeccable! The location is really nice with good views on the harbor. If you are in Harlingen it is worth having diner here.

Why does this restaurant has nog star yet? The cook Ruben van Zanten is very talented and passionated. We had the pleasure to meet him at a personal dinner party and we were stunned. Keep it up Ruben 👌

Wonderful place, the price is a bit higher than average, but you get such good service and such good and tasty food. The place was completely full, for covid reasons, but the staff was really really good. The food is rated a Michelin star so the food is tasty and you don't pay so much more :)

A very traditional building with very contemporary food. The menu is not translated, but the server definitely helps. You order number a fixed menu based upon the number of courses or you can order "snacks". The server asks if there is anything you don't eat. The appetizer is a bit hard to describe, at least in part because of the server's slightly limited English for food terms. It was sea bream (I think) tartare on a fresh cake of oats or millet with a pistachio-green wasabi cream. Really amazing The main course was pastrami, but unless you had known that, it would be the last thing you might taste over the white asparagus, celeriac mousse and other delicious treats. The dessert was a seemingly never ending variety of preparation of strawberries. Highly recommended

I can tell you about it but you're better to experience it on your own. Feeling confident? get the surprise menu. They will ask if you have any allergies or dislikes and viola... here comes delicious!
