Restaurant Lutum

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve visited ever! The food is amazing, we loved everything we tried. We appreciated they did it faster by request bc we were in a hurry. We celebrated birthday and the team signed a card for us what was very cute. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they speak languages very well! Thanks for this fantastic experience!

What a great experience! The food was delicious, interesting, and creative. All the ingredients are local and of very high quality. The wine selection has been carefully curated—it’s impressive to see the collection. We enjoyed talking to the owners and learning about the place and their unique story. The vibe is super chill and easygoing. This was by far the best dinner we’ve had in the Netherlands. We’ll definitely be going back soon!

We had the long menu for dinner at Lutum and we loved the whole experience (almost 3.5 hours). With pretty much all of the courses we were surprised by interesting flavours and textures (which I won't spoil, of course!); we found the food incredibly inspiring. Moreover, the staff was very kind in explaining the dishes and answering our questions about the preparation of the food throughout; they made us feel very welcome. Lastly: Instead of the drink pairing we had a few glasses of wine and their homemade kombucha as we went along. The latter was a very interesting surprise, we would very much recommend it. Overall: it was a really lovely night, that we very much recommend. We will definitely come back.

It’s the hidden gems in this small town. The dining experience here is truly exceptional, making it a worthwhile stop for visiting. The dishes are crafted with care, showcasing the local ingredients and agricultural products. If you ask me what is Wijk bij Duurstede about, the answer is the flavour of dishes served by Restaurant Lutum.

Lutum is without a doubt the best restaurant I have ever visited. Every visit is an incredible culinary experience. The 12 course tasting menu is simply stunning, with dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Each dish is perfectly executed, and the flavors are harmonious and innovative. The wine pairing is also exceptional. Each wine is carefully selected to complement the dishes, and the sommelier is very knowledgeable and passionate. The service is impeccable, with a team that is attentive, warm, and professional, making the experience even more memorable. For me, Lutum easily deserves 2 Michelin stars. It is a true culinary gem that offers an extraordinary dining experience every time. I highly recommend this restaurant to all food lovers. A big bravo to the entire Lutum team!

I've known 't Klooster from my friends wedding were the cook outside, only vegetable 12 rounds course. It was a night for the ages and was stunned of the flavour balance and creativity. This time we went to their restaurant and the same experience. What tells alot. The ambiance, the food, the service everything was on point. A day I personally will never forget! Till next time ;)

I honestly struggle for words to describe how much I truly enjoy eating here. The owners all have a passion for what they are doing that you feel from the moment you enter until walk out the front door. This may not be a place you eat at every week, month, or year but it is an experience that you should give yourself at the very least once. You will not be disappointed if you share a passion for food and wine.
