Our dinner visit here today was great. We had phenomenal food with fantastic service. Our server Said was very helpful as he gave us good recommendations. We had the carpaccio for our starters along with the entrecôte & truffle tagliolini for our mains and it was 10/10.

Nestled within chic Hotel Das Stue, The Casual offers a delightful blend of Mediterranean, European, and Spanish cuisine. It sets the stage for an inviting dining experience. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness create an immediate sense of welcome, whether indoors or on the leafy terrace. While the culinary highlights include an impressive drinks selection, the Escalope Viennese Style fell short in terms of breading crispness, and the schnitzel leaned heavily toward saltiness. The dessert (chocolate mousse) had a bold flavor profile but bordered on excessive portion size. Overall, The Casual provides comfort rather than culinary fireworks in this design hotel gem.

I came here for dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Fantastic food with even better service. Said was our waiter and he was attentive and accommodating. We had the Beef Carpaccio, Grilled Entrecote and the Truffle Past for our meal. Everything was fantastic and cooked to perfection. We even had a fondant that really was the cherry on top.

Exzellentes und einladendes Ambiente. Individuelle und stilvolle Einrichtung. Kurzum: Was das drum herum angeht, ist das carte blanche großartig aufgestellt. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, ohne aber in der Konversation zu brillieren. Kulinarisch fehlte für mich ebenfalls das letzte Quäntchen. Es ist selten, dass ich in einem guten Restaurant zum Pfefferstreuer greife(der bei entsprechendem Selbstbewusstsein gar nicht auf dem Tisch stehen sollte), aber der Salat zur Burrata war wirklich etwas fade. Mein Pfifferling-Risotto mit Trüffel war gut, aber ohne Begeisterung zu wecken. Alles in allem empfehlenswert und insbesondere für Hotelgäste sicher eine gute Wahl.

Expérience sympa en famille grâce à un raccourci depuis le Zoo. Le personnel a été très souriant et efficace. La cuisine typée bistronomique pour la formule du midi a 35€ entrée plat dessert était de qualité et les plats travaillés. La décoration est soignée et l'ambiance feutrée. Merci a toute l'équipe

Ich hatte zwei tolle Abende im The Casual: Bemerkenswert die interessante Barkarte (Cocktails mit und ohne Alkohol) sowie der hervorragende Service - ein großes Dankeschön an unseren Gastgeber Felix. Professioneller, sehr herzlicher Service. Wir haben uns sofort sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Sommerkarte war klein aber fein. Der Burger hervorragend, das Kalbsschnitzel ebenso. Zum Anstoßen gab es Cava (Recaredo "Relats" 2019) als tolle Empfehlung. Sitzplätze gibt es im Licht-gedimmten, gemütlichen Bereich mit direktem Blick druch zwei große Fenster in die Küche, weitere in Richtung Bar oder auf der Terrasse des Hotels. Insgesamt zwei wunderbare Abendessen, die keine Wünsche offen gelassen haben.

ridiculously overpriced by berlin standards. the good: beautiful hotel, nice bar with very good, slightly out of the ordinary drinks. the bad: most of what happend after. the setting is cozy. the menu looks interesting, but it ain't. we had 3 starters that were good to very good, but far from fair value (by berlin standards, if you're from london, you'll be ok): croquetas de jamon: a staple of spanish cuisine / tapas, done well, but at 12 EUR for half a dozen not overly impressive. ceviche: good fresh fish, but again, nothing out of the ordinary (sudaka at goltzstr. does it much better), and an excellent tartar with truffles that was great value. the wine (a german riesling) was good too. but then it happened: the main: spanish rice with fish and seafood for two at 44 EUR. we' expected some kind of fancy paellla. what we got was a dish served in a pan (the kind you would take trekking) that looked and tasted like mushy rice with 4(!) prawns and a few (frozen?) shrimps. no mussles, no fish, no nothing. you can get a better rice dish in any spanish resort town at about a quarter of the price. it was so bad, it ruined everything. and the service didn't remedy anything: friendly, but highly unprofessional once things went wrong: a waiter refilled our glasses with another white, when we noticed (while he poured) there was no apology, just a akward grin and fresh glasses a few minutes later. when we (politely) mentioned how unsatisfied we were with the main dish, we got a shrug. no apology, no fruther questions. and of course no digestive on the house quite simply: don't waste your money. our bill (2 drinks, 3 starters, 1 main for two, 1 bottle of white) came to 180 EUR. there're plenty of great options in berlin at this price point. stay at the hotel, have a drink at the bar, but don't eat at the casual.
