"A short walk from Place Stanislas in a busy pedestrian street, transparency is more than just a name and you can actually see chef Patrick Fréchin working his magic in the theatrically visible kitchen. His enticing dishes showcase premium seasonal ingredients, such as loin of skrei cod, roasted in bay leaf oil with mead-flavoured yoghurt." - Michelin Inspector

We visited this restaurant on the last November weekend in 2025. Upon entering the service took over and I have to say, they were not very good. When we were given the worst table in the restaurant, even though I made a reservation weeks in advance they couldn’t sort anything else out. The food was amazing, very good quality, very good presentation. However, being a wine geek I was utterly shocked by their wine list. It is among the worst wine lists I have seen in any upper scale restaurant. Mass production Champagne (Moët), no RM Champagne (Grower), very recent vintages when it comes to Bourgogne and BDX, very few maisons/ chateaus in general. Because we usually refuse any big Champagne houses we went for the Crémant to start with. After finishing our meal and wines the waiter kindly offered us a drink on the house and suggested that very champagne I told him earlier, I won’t touch - not good! After all we left with a bill of around 360€ for the two of us and a feeling of wasting some of that on the poor service. However.. credits to the chefs, food was nice. I’d come back if they would work on their wine list and staff.

The menu has some flaws but it is very worth the price you pay. It is not comparable to a top-Michelin restaurant and there was not a specific dish that amazed me, some like the entry with tomato water were even a bit boring. There are still some points to improve.

My wife and I had dinner for my thirtieth birthday. We tried the lobster menu and appreciated the high-quality ingredients and the interesting flavor combinations in each dish. The wine list was extensive. Although the menu was in French, we appreciated the effort made in explaining the various dishes to us in English. Furthermore, when my wife asked to place candles on the last course, they were very accommodating and prepared an additional dessert suitable for the candles—this was also much appreciated and unusual for this type of cuisine. Thank you for the special evening you gave us! And last but not least, the opportunity to speak with the chef to thank him personally, after having watched him create his dishes throughout the evening, thanks to the open kitchen.

As other reviewers have mentioned before, this is certainly not a top-notch Michelin restaurant. But on the other hand, it is much more affordable than many others, and food quality was still really good. We had a delightful evening, and the price-quality ratio was definitely convincing.

Don’t go staff is inconsiderate. We waited 1 hour with nothing but an amuse bouche. Even though I had informed that my companion is gluten intolerant at reservation they had no gluten free bread and without the extra bread you go home hungry. At that level of negligence the quality of the food does not justify a visit

Good quality cooking with simple and seasonal menu. The services was okay but a little bit under average for Michelin star, mybe it’s because of COVID and summer.
