"Chef Greg Paul’s raunchily named Motherf**ker Burger at Mile-Ex is big, and with double- and triple-stacked versions, it can be challenging to wrangle. But it checks off all the right juicy burger boxes." - Valerie Silva

Very nice spot and a must try in little Italy. It is a staple of the Italian community. I wasn't blown away by the food, especially not the chicken but it was still worth it. The pasta and the soup were delicious.

Google
Delicious food, great portions, wonderful little place. We were able to be sat promptly even with a full restaurant and did not have to wait an exuberant time for our meals. Would reccomend to a friend and would definitely go again!

Google
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IVE EVER EVER EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE.. we got our appetizers after 2 hours… we sat down at 8 and they took our order at 8:40 then got our drinks and one appetizers at 9:30…(didn’t include half the stuff we ordered) then proceeded to tell us there wasn’t some of the options available that we ordered for our main but TOLD US LAST SECOND AT 10 o’clock… I’m sorry to be this blunt and disgruntled but I was celebrating my birthday and they squeezed us into a corner spot as if they weren’t ready for us.. we walked out and had great pasta at pizza Neapolitan. I am truly disgusted by the service by this awful restaurant.

Google
Horrible experience. I made a reservation for a birthday for 5 people on a Saturday night at 8 o’clock. Upon arriving, the restaurant was packed and our table was not ready yet. I told the worker to take their time and we were understanding. They put us in a corner, didn’t seem like they were able to accommodate our table of 5 adequately as we were crammed and far away. We waited 30 minutes for the waitress to come over to take our order. Right away, our guest ordered the gnocchi and they ran out. Ok… We ordered our food and drinks. It took another 30 minutes for our drinks to come. When the waitress brought our first appetizer, she mentioned they also ran out of Eggplant parm (which we had ordered as a starter.) Ok.. starting to get more disappointed now. She comes back 15 minutes later with an appetizer sampler and said “Sorry we’re giving this because we don’t have anymore Lasagna”. Two of my guests ordered the Lasagna. Now it’s past 9:30, we got one round of drinks and two appetizers and two of my guests are without mains. We were so turned off by our experience we asked for the bill and immediately left to go to another restaurant. The attitude from the waitress did not help she was very rude and not sincere at all. I had truly high hopes for this place as it was packed and we heard nothing but great things. Will never even step foot in front of the restaurant, avoid at all costs especially if you’re going with a group of people, you’re better off elsewhere trust me.

Honest food. Pasta are al dente. Trio pasta is appealing. Cosy dining room.

Yelp
We visited Montreal over the weekend and took 5 family members here on Saturday night. Everyone left feeling extremely happy and satisfied. The restaurant was nearly full when we arrived and had a cozy vibe. The food was great. They provided two loaves of fresh bread with butter and an Italian hot sauce that was exceptional. I had the chicken Parmesan which totally hit the spot. It was exactly what I wanted. My husband had the lasagna. The server was attentive and kind and did a wonderful job serving our table, which was the biggest group there that evening. We checked out some other places but ultimately decided to go with Tre Marie and I'm glad we did. We had a great experience and the price was much better than some other restaurants in the area.

Yelp
Food was great and service was excellent as well, nice cozy place. We had chicken parmigiana and pasta and both tasted like home made.

Yelp

Yelp
Celebrated my December birthday with family at Les Tre Marie, a gem of a place in the heart of Little Italy, Montréal. Delicious and authentic Italian food, warm ambience and friendly servers. Christmas decors added a nice touch to the small but cozy restaurant. Special mention on the pasta trio dish, specifically the ravioli with pink sauce was my favorite. Rich and velvety in texture, it was simply divine! I had to ask the server for more of that ravioli sauce! The grilled salmon & grilled sausage both with spaghetti side dishes and the homemade spicy sauce were also good. A bottle of red wine along with some chocolate cake, made the evening special and completed my birthday celebration. Thank you Les Tre Marie for a wonderful experience. I hope to come back!

Yelp
There isn't much of a selection of restaurants in little italy. This place isn't too far from marche Jon talon so we stopped in. It's a cute little place with a friendly wait staff. The menu isn't extensive but the pasta is fresh and tasty and their tomato sauce isn't bad.
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty, "old school" Italian fare, menu seems from the immigrant generation. I got the salmon which was perfectly grilled, still nice and moist. It came with pasta, probably from a dry-pasta package and not freshly made, in an acceptable red sauce, but nothing special. My husband got the veal, which was also perfectly prepared. They have a killer housemade spicy garlic oil which I added to my pasta. The wait staff were good humored and attentive.

Yelp
Been going here for years. It's a quaint little family restaurant in Little Italy. The food is excellent with many choices of traditional Italian cuisine. I tend to gravitate towards the Trio Pasta and cannolis but everything I or my friends have tried have been nicely presented and delicious. It's well worth a visit. Parking in the area can be hit or miss though, go there early if you drive in case you end up looking for an open spot.

Yelp
Friendly service, but food was very dissapointing. We expected much better quality food from Little Italy. Unfortunately not up to par with the restaurants in this area.

Yelp
I had the veal in white wine sauce with a side of pesghetti in red sauce. I know a lot of people have reservations about eating veal, and how the practice in which they're raised is inhumane and whatnot - I understand, I respect that, but I don't care. I believe animals were meant to be eaten, if not, someone please explain to me why are they so tasty? It would be inhumane if they farmers flooded the barns with Celine Dion's greatest hits album through loud speakers and made the cow wear a party hat - THAT I will not stand for... no offence to Celine as she is a frequent customer to this place - you keep doing your thang girlfriend. The highlight of this plate was the veal itself - obviously. Tender slices of milk-fed veal smothered in white wine sauce, the aroma coming off this plate made my nose drool. Meaty and bovine in taste, the veal was swimming in this sweet sauce that I would have been more than happy to drink as a soup; which says a lot considering, I don't like soup! The pasta as always was perfectly al dente and tossed with the homemade tomato sauce.

Yelp
Outstanding. The dishes here are uniformly good. I've eaten here twice. This is an authentic and very tasteful Italian restaurant in the dwindling (becoming more multi-ethnic, that is) Little Italy neighborhood of Montreal. It is run by Italians who know their craft and is not a trendy eatery run by those blending California-Italian cuisine or some other newfangled spin on Italian. This has evidently been a Montreal institution for decades. I recommend it highly.

Yelp
Probably my favorite Italian resto in Montréal. Every time I visit I'm left feeling so good with what I chose off the menu. All of their pastas are wonderful, especially their tagliatellle egg noodle pasta with meat sauce. Just amazing. I recently tried their tomato with buffalo mozzarella starter (by recommendation of the server) and loved it. Their house wine was perfect with my dish. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
An available parking space in front of the restaurant dictated our choice of Tre Marie for dinner. We didn't even check Yelp. Sometimes you just have to go for it. Chicken Parm was really good. Just the right amount of sauce, cheese and chicken. Nice and crispy. Our waiter Rahat was fun and the place was quiet and calm so it was nice to linger. A good mellow dinner experience, on a nice quiet weekday evening started off our Montreal trip very nicely.

Yelp
We had a lovely evening in this charming, traditional Italian restaurant. The service was perfect and the staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The gnocchi was light, fresh and practically melted in my mouth. The pasta trio was recommended for my indecisive partner, which he loved. We finished with cannoli that was light and flaky and just perfect! The ambience was relaxing, unhurried. A delightful change from the impersonal, minimalist restaurants that are so common today.

Yelp
Not kid-friendly. Giving the second star only because the food was not horrible. A quaint Mom-and-Pop style place with a mediocre selection of Americanized Italian food, not bad, but not great. What was truly disappointing was the service. Our private party, containing three children under age 6, wasn't given menus, and the waittress who took our order was hasty and impolite. We were placed right beside the kitchen in an area all too easy for the children to block for the wait staff whenever they were restless and needed to stretch their legs, even though there were more secluded areas available. But the reason we won't be going back is because one waitress berated me when my two-year-old sun cried from extreme hunger (for exactly two minutes -- I checked the time), as two-year-olds have been known to do. As I tried to calm him into his seat, she told me "Sorry, but my clients are complaining." We ended up eating outside. Aside from the fact that no one around us was, in fact, complaining, I found this comment to be extremely inconsiderate both of my private party and of myself and my husband. No parent likes to be in the position of having to calm down an inconsolable child in a public place when s/he is in clear distress. The last thing any of us needs is for someone to criticize instead of help. Fine if you are not a family, but not recommended for couples with children under age 13, with or without the support of toys or gadgets (we had both with us). Won't be going back.

Yelp
Wow! Not only the staff were amazing and really helpful(the poor guy went through the whole menu with me cuz i don't speak a word french) but the food was just delicious.. They even have a pasta trio for undeceive people like me to get to try all sauces. If you're looking for homemade style Italian cuisine this is the place to go to

Yelp

Yelp
The price in the restaurants are fair and if u think it is too expensive, the food is amazing so it's worth a shot. The meals are so fresh my mom couldn't stop commenting on it. The waiters/waitresses are very nice and welcoming. Very family friendly and warm. One would feel right at home there. CANT STOP RAVING ABOUT THE PLACE!!!!

Yelp
After trying to find a spot for my family, we stumbled upon this casual trattoria. The ambience was 'homey' and quaint. The food was delicious, simple, and consistently good amount all dishes ordered. We had the lasagna which was good and the rigotoni with meatballs. A little sauce-y, but good.

Yelp
The food here is great! Everything is so fresh and the staff are very friendly. If feels like Italy. Worth the trip!

Yelp
Best osso bucco I've had in my life. The marrow was plentiful and the meat was fall of the bone tender. So much in fact I could have eaten it with a spoon. Despite high praise for this dish, it's a little pricy at $35. The rice that accompanied it was overdone but nothing a little adjustment couldn't fix. The vegetables and potatoes on the other hand were spot on. Drinks were well made (I had a Bloody ceasar and my date had a gin and tonic) and wine is not that expensive so you know they don't jip you on the price like some other restaurants. Didn't like the TV in the main dining room and I found the place to be a little packed. They could remove a table or two in order to have a quieter atmosphere. Service was a little slow at the beginning but picked up once other patrons left; it was super busy so this could have been the issue. Didn't have a dessert but my date brought some home and it was nice but the chocolate cake icing had too much butter, otherwise it was a tasty cake. In all, about $180 for two people is not bad. Would rate a 3.5 if I could. Quieter atmosphere, less people and better service would have made it a 4.5.

Yelp
If I could, I would give a big fucking zero for this restaurant. I went there with my girlfriend on a saturday night hoping for a good italian rustic meal since I heard a lot about this restaurant and read a lot of awesome review. So first of all the bread was dry, the butter was tempered but served in cafeteria plastic cup (I mean seriously?!?!). We received our starter pretty fast (that's prolly the only good thing I noticed), I had the minestrom soup witch was under seasoned, more like a potato soup with overcooked veggies and a pinch of parsley to decorate in the middle so welcome back in the 90s. My gf had the mixed salad witch was soaked in the dressing..there was like a puddle of dressing in the bottom of the bowl at the end when she was done eating it. Then we received our main course (we both ordered the parmigiana veal with tomato sauce spaghetti on the side). Spaghetti was well cooked but not fresh (YES! NOT FRESH MADE PASTA IN A TRUE ITALIAN RESTAURANT), the tomate sauce was soo acid that it needed another 2 hours of cooking minimum. It tasted like a soup can or the bottom of a dishwasher water..it's like there was no garlic, no basil and needed more olive oil to make it more silky since it was a bit granny. The parmigiana veal was not freshly made because the crumb was soggy, the veal was tough and overcooked...well a Michelina's at 2.39$ at the grocery store would be more satisfied than that. Then the server asked us if we wanted cheese on our pasta so we said yes. He bring some fucking already shredded parmesan witch was kraft parmesan or something like that. There is no way it was grana padano or regiano because it tasted like shit. Service was totaly absent, we had to fill our wine glasses ourselves and they never came to ask us if everything was fine. Seriously , this restaurant is a big fucking joke and if Rosina was in the kitchen that night then I'm sorry sweetheart but it's time retire. I will never come back and you should avoid this place at all cost.

Yelp
A delightful meal. We had the Pasta trio (a nice mixture of 3 different kinds of pasta), chicken Parmesan, and cappuccinos. Everything was fresh and quite tasty. The restaurant is very comfortable, and the service was great. Highly recommended, would definitely return.

Yelp
Tastes like really good home cooking. The pasta is cooked just right, the cheese was tasty, osso bucco cooked perfect.

Yelp
Hoping to kickstart labour, we headed here for a lasagna feast. I'd always admired the tidy, traditional building exterior, and I was curious to experience the interior of Tre Marie. We found it to be brighter and more pleasant than many traditional Italian restaurants. The service was very warm, and the food was delicious-- and served in generous portions. When the waitstaff heard about our goal of inducing labour, they plied us with their homemade hot sauce. In the end, something worked: Our baby arrived two days later. We'll definitely celebrate future events with lasagna at Tre Marie!

Yelp
I went there for the third time yesterday because I really enjoy the food. But I am so disapointed by the not so-friendly management. Unfortunetly our last time. I spend 200$ and not even a smile!!

Annika B.

Yelp
Food tasted not so well. Salad was plain. Asked for parm cheese and I did not get any. Pasta tasted plain like out of a grocery store. I wish I ate at home. A frozen meal would have been better.

M B.

Yelp
Found this place by accident. Loved it. Had traditional dishes and not so traditional. Quaint but homey feeling. Excellent food.

Sandy S.

Yelp
This place is the old school neighborhood Italian restaurant you've been looking for... Everything was wonderful; the friendly service, the great food, the reasonable prices. I had the three pasta sampler, my daughter the fusilli with rose sauce, my wife the gnocchi. Just delicious!! Go and enjoy!

Liz B.

Yelp
The 90 year old matriarch of this wonderful restaurant recently passed away and as I recall there wasn't a weekend night that we were there where she wasn't in the kitchen either supervising or cooking herself . This restaurant is " family run " and everyone there takes great pride in making sure you leave with a smile on your face and full . The food is nothing short of great " home made. " Italian along with an atmosphere that makes you feel like you are eating dinner in the comfort of your mother or grandmothers kitchen . The portions are hearty ! Love this place and give it a big thumbs up . I miss seeing NONNA there though but other then that you can't go wrong having dinner here !!
