Restaurant Une Table à Deux

A small cosy restaurant with menu based on fresh ingredients. The food was amazing and so was the service. It was one of our best dining experiences in Toulouse.

the food was great! beautifully presented and tasty. however, even though we made the reservation over 6 weeks ago, we were seated in a room next to the main room that was barely decorated and looked like a room where one would store items and do laundry. we asked if we could be seated in the main room and they said first that it’s not possible. we then asked what the reason is that we were seated in the other room and because they could not answer or did not want to answer the question they gave us a table in the main room. overall while the food was good this left a bad after taste…

We chose this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. Definitely worth the visit. Food was amazing. It catered to our dietary requirements as well.

A wonderful lunch! The flavors were delicate but very well balanced. The chef is creative but not heavy handed. Service was lovely and efficient. The ambience is cozy and relaxing. Standouts we’re the octopus and the cauliflower/lentil dishes.

A little charming gem hidden amidst the blocks of ancient buildings in the city. Reservations required. Dining area is small, oozes warmth and coziness. The wine menu has a good variation prices reasonable. We opted for a light red to go with the food we picked up. Service was prompt and very friendly. The food was heavenly! Will definitely return!

Excellent service, the freshest ingredients, and a little surprise in each dish. It's a very intimate dining room and one of the chefs comes out to greet each table after their meal. Definitely worth a visit when you're in town.

Very good quality of food and the price is fine as well. We had 3 course with a nice bottle of wine, we spent 102 euro in total. This is a very decent price of Michelin 1 star restaurant 😊

If what I read and my memory serves me right..It seems they’re a couple and both chefs who opened their own place, and I respect that. It’s like this is their baby. My theory is right because Nicolas, one of the owners came to every table making sure everything was okay. My first word were, « We didn’t get the pork! ». We picked the 7 plate course, which is « omakase » they choose which mains you get since there were 3 and we only get 2. Basically, when you get there and you see specific things you like in the menu, go for the 3 plate or 4 course because you can choose. They will explain it when you order, and we listened but just hoped for the best I guess. I chose the Diner Dégustation because I wanted to do the taste sampling of their dishes but didn’t go all the way to Super Dégustation which is like 9 plates I think because I just couldn’t simply eat that much. So the interior is great, they exposed the original bricks of the building and put industrial decor. They have an outdoor patio next to the kitchen, not very appealing to me, but if you are like boho chic then you wouldn’t mind to be seated there. For the taste, it is indeed yummy..Exceptional in fact, for the regular eater, or non-foodie. For me, honestly, very good but not especially memorable or mind-blowing. I have eaten in many Michelin rated restaurants and as greatly rated restaurants go..this is a strong 3.5 for me. The plates are not very elevated as I expected, it could bring more tastes in the dishes. It’s like the plates you know you can make at home but they elevated it but not something I’d wait to book for weeks before I can come. As the reservations here for dinner is pretty challenging. Overall, it’s a high recommend for lunch. As they always seem to have table for midi. :)

Had an absolutely lovely experience at Une Table à Deux (which means a table for two). It's a sophisticated chalkboard menu, written in French but our server was well versed in English and was able to clarify any questions we had about the menu (Google translate also helps!). We opted for the 4 course menu, started with a dish of beet puree with quinoa salad and fresh cheese, then had a butternut squash dish with a spelt risotto and egg (could have used more salt), duck breast with cauliflower, and a sable with apples for dessert. With the exception of our second course which really would have popped with a bit more salt, everything else was nearly perfect. The dishes themselves are beautiful and colorful and well-balanced. We were the early-bird-Americans dining at 7:30pm when they opened but by 8:30pm the small dining room was packed. Come early and/or make reservations.
