We had our Congress dinner at Vieux Bois. The entire preparation phase went perfectly well, with Lauriane and her team being most supportive in every respect. The apéro was served on the terrace, the staff allowed the participants to stay there for much longer as originally intended - it was such a lovely experience to chat and relax outdoors. The tables were beautifully set, with menu cards most participants took with them as a memory. The feedback from the 145 dinner attendees was only positive - the number speaking for itself... Thank you to the entire team!

Excellent restaurant with great service and wonderful created meals. They are presented very professiobal and are a pleasure just to look at. The vegetarian plates we were offered here were very impressive. We started with a starter made from different carrot slices that were presented in a circle and tasted delicious. The main course was some kind of a potato base complemented with fried tofu slices, which looked like potato toes but were not. Also, the dessert was a pleasure to look at and tasted as well as wonderful. With the coffee we were presented for fried pieces of dough, which I was told were apparently typical swiss, but I did not like them as they were rather dry.

We were in the International District and decided to try this restaurant. My husband read about this culinary school restaurant the day before and since we were in the area, we decided to try it during lunch. They were very busy and glad that they had an open table for 2 since we didn’t have a reservation. The host and our server spoke English and we received excellent customer service. We had one of the best Swiss meals and service during our 2 weeks vacation in Switzerland. We wanted to eat dinner the Sunday before Valentine’s Day but they are not open on weekends.

What a great ambassador to the students chefs and waiters this restaurant is! The Geneva Hotel School houses this restaurant. We arrived with no reservations at 1:30 pm after a tour at the United Nations which is steps from the Vieux Bois. As many Swiss restaurants close at 1:30 or 2 pm, we were pleasantly surprised that they served lunch until 2:30 pm. Service was very kindly and efficient. One of my guests was from the UK and an English menu was available. The menu had few dishes but they were imaginative and of high quality. There were a few vegetarian dishes. Prices are reasonable for the quality. When we left they were setting up for what looked like a birthday or wedding reception, so you may be able to hire out this venue.

this is a great place.we had lunch in the terrace and it was wonderful. one suggestion would be to have the desserts a bit smaller so that it is consistent with the rest of the size of the dishes served in the menu

The service was supberb. Food was delightfully plated and very delectable. The dessert was impressive. Excellent job for these culinary students 👏 👍! We would be certainly return when we visit Geneva again.

Make reservation here immediately if you are coming to Geneva! Located right behind the UN buildings, Restaurant Vieux-Bois is known for its Michelin-rated food and quality service, both brought to you by students of hospitality management in school nearby. We made reservation for a la carte order vs. the prix fixe menu. Appetizers are small (not really sharing friendly), but quality definitely outweighs the quantity, as per usual in these type of restaurants. I ordered the veal for my entree - it was VERY well cooked and the meat was very tender. My husband's bird dish was a bit on the drier side, but had great complementing sauces. For the service and the quality of food, you really can't beat the price here. I would come back here any time.
