Restaurant Vivants

Had a great experience at Vivants. We had the three course set menu with the addition of a snack and cheese plate. Every course was utterly delicious and surprising. The sommelier gave us an excellent wine selection. We felt it was good value and would highly recommend. It had a lovely atmosphere, not rushed. It felt like an experience you would pay a lot more for in other restaurants.

Excellence in every regard from start to finish. We were seated immediately upon arrival. We chose the four course option with additional starters. Each dish was superb. Service was warm, friendly, and quick —- with excellent English explanations in each case. Extensive wine list which also includes some very nice and nicely priced per glass offerings. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star. In short, an incredible “blind tasting” experience.

A unique dining experience! The chef served different dishes despite set menu. Service was warm and friendly. Though the wait was a bit long, the food was excellent and unexpected. We'd love to go back!

FANTASTIC FRENCH FRIDAY LUNCH This team is redefining the French restaurant meal in the most professional and innovative ( not fusion ) manner with light lunches that are FULL of flavour and delightful textures and they should be congratulated with industry awards. We highly recommend going to this restaurant for a truely wonderful meal, with delightful service and a calm atmosphere.

It was amazing! The ambiance is very cozy and enjoyable. Service was beyond from the moment we came. Food was delicious. We had 5 course menu and every course kept getting better. For each course both of us got different things so actually we tried a lot more than 5 plazes which was amazing :) We got help with picking a bottle of wine and didn’t miss. It was so good. Would recommend coming here and enjoying one beautiful evening with great food and great service. Also, thank you for a warm welcome for our small dog as well :)

Easily of the best meals I’ve ever had. We had a wonderful time at Vivants, with exceptional, unique and creative food, attentive service and a lovely atmosphere. We opted for the 3 course blind menu (the chefs choose which dishes to bring you and throw in a couple of surprise dishes too) which was so much fun and we loved every option. A standout dish was the white asparagus with orange sauce - completely unique and delicious. We also had a great wine that was reasonably priced and very tasty. The staff were excellent too, so knowledgeable and professional. Sadly we had to rush our desserts to leave for a train, so if you can make sure you give the experience a full two hours as we wish we had a little longer to soak in the place. I’d go back straight away if we were ever in Bordeaux again!

We had an excellent dinner here both in terms of food and service. We started out as a party of 4, but several other friends also made reservations, and the service team went all out to ensure we sat close to each other, shared hots of wine between tables, and really made sure we had a wonderful evening. They were exceptional. The food and timing of the dishes was also excellent. Everything that we had on our menu was absolutely delicious and plated beautifully. I can highly recommend this place if you are in Bordeaux!

Caveat - I went solo. I think it took them a little while to figure out I wasn't waiting for anyone. Once they came over...the experience was deliciousness spread over 4 courses and 2.5 hours. French wines recommended to match the food. Food that may sound simple but the combinations and the sauces .. . Are so outstandingly delicious. Highly recommend.
