Restaurant Watergang

Booked this place for an anniversary dinner. Found this restaurant on the Michelin website and was very impressed overall. Menu is a secret menu and we didn’t know what we would get until the dish came. We had 6 course overall including desert. Oysters were also offered at the beginning of the meal. All dishes were delicious but the standout was an oyster mousse/ice cream dish. Drinks were also great, we ordered some wine and cocktails. Service was wonderful and friendly, with an explanation for each dish. The restaurant is small but cosy and located in a beautiful part of the city. The price is also great value. I would travel back to Amsterdam just to eat at this restaurant

Indulgent set lunch menu. Exceptional presentation and some very tasty and creative food. Service was a bit formal. We sat upstairs with a view of everyone which was fun for people watching but a little isolated. My rating is probably too harsh but it’s my personal experience and I’m not a foodie. Foodies would love this place. Appetizer was exceptional, brioche pretty good and dessert super interesting and memorable cherries five ways. The other dishes were good but I kind of forgot about them compared to the others.

Glad to have found this restaurant because we had an amazing lunch here! A Michelin-recommended restaurant that has some charm to it. We hope to eat here again. Pros: Affordable set menus, delicious and unique food, 4-set menu was refreshing for the summer season, staff were kind and friendly, clean and beautiful interior Cons: Presentation can be improved (had unnecessary splashes on my dessert plate), service was good but hoped it was more serious (1 lady service was smiling/laughing while explaining the food), a bit small inside so can get noisy if it's packed

Went there for my birthday and the food is impeccable especially the vegetarian menu. The ravioli was superb and so was the service. This non vegetarian meat dish in the picture was a bit chewy. Reserve in advance and try to get a table near the window.

Amazing food ! Beautiful presentation. Each dish is presented by the staff and this is a slow dining experience so do not expect the dishes to come quickly ! Take your time, enjoy the food and be respectful! I’ve had an absolutely amazing experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and the ambiance was beyond my expectations! It is a very small restaurant so it feels very intimate. Loved it and would obviously recommend if you go to Amsterdam!

Each dish showcased a thoughtful combination of flavors and textures, highlighting fresh, high-quality ingredients with a creative flair. We opted for the wine pairing, which elevated the experience even further. Every glass was expertly chosen to complement the dishes, enhancing the already impeccable meal. We even had the option to do half glasses if needed. Watergang is a hidden gem that’s perfect for food enthusiasts looking for something unique and memorable. Highly recommended!

In love with this place! It’s super small and cozy. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Be aware the bread is so good it’s dangerous, you would leave craving more! One of the best wild duck I’ve ever had! Radicchio salad with mustard ice cream was so unique and refreshing! Will absolutely go back and recommend this place, it’s a hidden gem!

We had an amazing evening here and were surprised by how creative and still effortless the menu was. We spend great hours in this place feeling very welcomed. The team is very kind and friendly and always keeps an eye on everything. Loved it here!
