Zigante Tartufi Shop & Gourmet Restaurant

My group was taken here on the suggestion of a driver we booked for a few days. This place was amazing and a highlight of our stay in this area. The staff are so great and the restaurant and food are amazing. We purchased lots of products after doing taste tests of their items. I would absolutely come back here if I was in this area again!

No words to describe the experience. We like it very much. The food was excellent, the wine the same. We eat tartar and 2 main dishes. All of the was spectacular. It has one Michelin star and you can teste it. One true truffle experience. Go try and tell other people, because the earn it! Just look at the video to see how much truffle they put in one dish 😍

This was not our first time here, and least I can say was that it was appalling. After the redesign from fine dining, the food took a turn for the worst and completely turned the restaurant into a ‘cafe’ like establishment. When we visited in previous years, the experience and food was delightful, so the redesign really disappointed me and my family. The fine dining restaurant turned into a sort of franchise place with mediocre food and a disappointing atmosphere.

If you don’t have time to do a hunt come for lunch anyway - this is truffle lovers heaven. From the moment you walk through the door you’re smacked in the nostrils with the earthy aroma of fresh truffle. Part museum, lab, gourmet shop and restaurant it’s an absolute delight. The staff are friendly and helpful, the menu is short but perfectly showcased the best of truffle (fresh black summer Truffle for our visit). The carpaccio, pasta and iced cream were celebrations of truffle - from subtle to punchy and perfectly balanced. Showering our pasta with freshly shaved truffle at the table was a highlight. We paired our dishes with a glass of crisp dry Istrian Malvasia which was the perfect match, and made for an unforgettable culinary . Loved it.

Travelled out of the way on our holiday excited to try this place as I was a fan of truffle. Ordered the silver menu and unfortunately, as much as I was really hoping to love it, the flavors were kind of a disappointment. No item really stood out as being delicious, flavorful or memorable from my experience here. The cod fish from the main dish was really salty as well.

My husband and I splurged with a six-course meal and wine pairing as part of our honeymoon in Croatia. The food and dining experience was incredible — from the flavors, to the presentation to the staff, it is a top dinning experience for us. We also chose to stay in the hotel attached, which allowed us to really enjoy ourselves, have a delicious breakfast and do a truffle hunting demonstration. The value of the experience all around was well worth it. We will definitely recommend to friends and family, and visit again if we find our way back to the area!

Wonderful experience. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the silver menu over a long lunch with wines expertly paired by Matthew. The food, service and ambience is worthy of a Michelin 1 *. Highly recommend.
