Amadeus

"No mention can be made of this restaurant without reference to the Masano family’s passion and dreams. Following on from the success they enjoyed when cooking for their friends, they decided to open their own seafood restaurant – on a site that was previously known as ‘esquina do peixe’ (fish corner). Today, chef Bella Masano, the owners’ daughter, enriches the classic house specialities with her bold creations, using produce sourced from the family’s own oyster and clam farm in Florianópolis." - Michelin Inspector

Visited for lunch after reading positive reviews online and it actually exceeded expectations. Oysters, Giant Prawns, Lobster and they had an extensive wine list too, everything was tasty and well presented. Service was great too.

Cozy spot and expectations were high when reading the menu and considering the prices. Food was good, portions okay. The service was slow and the food came out with some delay.

We had a delightful lunch at Amadeus. A starter of 12 delicious oysters farmed in house from their oyster beds in Sta Catarina and delivered to SP the same day. A great starter with the taste of the ocean in every morsel. We followed this with a main course of shrimp moqueca with banana de terra. Absolutely the best moqueca I’ve tried. This will definitely be our return spot every time we’re back in São Paulo. Anna the owner was very elegant and made us feel very welcome. She speaks several languages so if you are not comfortable in Portuguese there is no problem communicating. We highly recommend Amadeus for lunch or dinner.

Absolutely incredible - worth the price. The service is welcoming and attentive no matter how you arrive (I went in basketball shorts and a tank with no feelings of discomfort) Now the food itself is really good. I ordered the shrimp bobo and the parmesan frog legs as well as a watermelon caipirinha with less sugar. I really can't explain how much my eyes, nose and taste buds were dancing. Just check the 📷 Again... the price is worth the value.

Known this place since the 90s and it’s a great surprise that it’s still top notch. I had the most exquisite fish Moqueca. They also serve great Oysters - farmed by them. On the expensive side, but so worth it ;)

Simply one of, if not the best seafood restaurants in Sao Paulo

Yelp
The dish we ordered is coconut milk with shrimp, fish and banana (Moqueca Amadeus) was one of the best dishes we had in Brazil. The service was excellent, they do speak a little English and are very friendly. Although the location of this restaurant is not easy to find (they hide underneath of trees), it worth eating there.
