Amparito Roca

"One of those restaurants that never fails to impress and feels as though it has been a long-standing fixture on the Madrid dining scene, establishing a hugely loyal following in the city in a short space of time, especially amongst its business community. Named after a famous pasodoble, it focuses on well-prepared honest and traditional cuisine on an à la carte featuring copious dishes that always includes one or two game-based escabeches. The decorative detail here comes as an added surprise!" - Michelin Inspector

Our first day in Madrid. Originally we were only going to have a quick drink but then we saw other people’s food and decided to try it without realising it was a fancy restaurant! We enjoyed seating in the terrace and we had lovely time and delicious food! Service excellent too! We ordered a coffee and the almond biscuit was complimentary! Really nice to have little surprises! I totally recommend it.

Easily the best restaurant overalls I’ve been to in Madrid. The seafood Gazpacho was to die for, and the stone-cooked grouper mouthwatering and delicious. Not to mention the chocolate ganache and the home-made liquor at the end. And the service simply impeccable!

This is by far the best dinning experience in Madrid. The food is amazing, from the appetizers to dessert. The ambiance is very welcoming and the owner Jesus makes you feel like home. The staff is very professional. If you plan to go to Madrid you have to eat at Amparito Roca.

Very good wine offer. Delicate, well presented food. Well decorated atmosphere. A nice place for celebrating and enjoy with friends. Originally located at Guadalajara city this nice cuisine proposal moved to Madrid some years ago enriching the city 's offer of modern, sophisticated places combining tradition with presentation and new culinary experiences. Highly recommended!!

Nice, upscale place with a good wine list. Dodged a bullet with a questionable oyster, which had me worried for hours after lunch. Steak tartar was delicious. Portions are small. Too small.

You just have to stop here for a drink and a some tapas. I made this terrace my local hangout. Cold beers, excellent tapas at a great spot with professional service. I’ve only been to the terrace, not indoors. But I’ve been 10 times in a month. Food 5/5 Every dish i tried was brilliant. for example: The croquetas, ensaladilla rusa and the ventresca de atún con pimiento , are hands down the best I’ve ever had. No joke. Given that these are Spanish tapas staples, it’s hard to imagine that they could be the best- but they truly are! They make these with little delicious twists. I’ve attempted to copy the recipes at home! Service 5/5 Super friendly and professional! Ambience 5/5 It’s well located and there’s a lovey crowd If you’re in the market for top quality tapas that blow your mind, then this is a must-visit.
