Restaurante Augusto – A Bit of a Letdown for the Famous “Arroz con Bogavante” We visited Restaurante Augusto on a Wednesday, drawn by strong recommendations to try their renowned “arroz con bogavante.” Arriving without a reservation, we were only offered outdoor seating. Fortunately, the weather was pleasant and the ambiance decent, so that wasn’t a major issue. The food was good overall, though not memorable. The lobster itself was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and clearly high quality. However, the rice was underwhelming: plain in taste, with some crunchy bits that felt more accidental than intentional. It lacked the depth and richness you’d expect from a dish that’s supposed to be the star of the menu. Service was fine—polite and correct, but nothing that stood out. No warmth, no extra attention, just the basics. Restaurante Augusto feels like a classic establishment that may have seen better days. While it still holds some charm, especially for those nostalgic for its past reputation, our experience didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Really lovely place with an air of refinement - quality linen and china etc. Fish is what they specialise in- with lots of specials - one of which was the small razor clams -delicious. Everything we ate was super fresh and perfectly cooked. The service was charming, though my Spanish was severely put to the test, despite helpful notes in English on the menu. Would thoroughly recommend.

Best restaurant. Interier is awesome, good quality diches, friendly personnel.

Great food, great all. Go get it. Lobster on the rice

Lovely service. The "mariscada especial" (seafood platter) was great as were the desserts. The rice dish with clams wasn't exactly something to write home about, but over all, an enjoyable experience.

There are a plethora of promenade sideria style eateries which are turist traps. Find this one which is bright , well air conditioned with an elaborate menu from the area. I Recomend the arroz con bogavante ( lobster with rice ) a speciality from the north of spain.

Expensive, okay food, the star is for the desserts and hospitality but absolutly not for presentation, main dishes and setting. We had the baddest feeling the day after
