Restaurante Balausta

We had a large family dinner in Balusta, for our mother’s 60th birthday. Lovely place, would I eat here again? No Service was impeccable. Absolutely brilliant staff, from start to finish. Staff and managers were just absolutely faultless, attentive and just so friendly throughout the entire dinner. We had our 4 month old baby with us on a large table and no issues with this at all. The place was a little empty at 8pm (on a Saturday night) and very little atmosphere, but this picked up through the evening Food- starters were very good all round. Steak tartare, tuna tartare with caviar excellent. Scallop dish was poor, lacking any creativity and seasoning. Overall seasoning was huge issue with food. Mains - very disappointing. Look the part but lacking any sense of flavour - nothing seasoned. Very rare we have to ask for salt and pepper at a dinner. Wine menu is varied and great choice , including their champagne selection. Overall - service impeccable and flawless. Food lacking in flavour, any depth and creativity. Would I eat here again? Yes Purely for the experience and the service! Hoping the food was just an off night overall

Really good value for money. The place is beautiful. An inner yard with not so many tables. Quiet and peaceful. Service is great. They were so kind. Food is really tasty.

I had a lovely experience at Balausta in Málaga. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, and the staff were attentive and kind. The dessert was definitely the highlight—creative, balanced, and truly delicious. However, I found the “Azules de Naránja” wine a bit too dry for pairing with fish; it might work better with a different kind of dish. Still, I appreciated the originality of the selection. I’d happily return to try more.

Higher end restaurant in Malaga center. Very clean and well decorated, maybe lacking a bit of authenticity. We were a bigger group and while some really loved the food, others had mixed opinions. Not bad at all, but there must be better places at this price level.

I reserved there for valentine’s day dinner and it was amazing. The food was exceptional and the wine too! The service is impeccable and everyone was so nice. I sent them an email before arriving that i was pregnant and would love if they don’t use raw meat or eggs for dinner, and the response came back positive. Perfect dinner.

This was by far our best meal in Malaga. Incredible service and wine paring suggestions. A very knowledgeable host and sommelier. The food was delicious, refined, inventive but remaining true to Andalusian style cuisine. I highly recommend

This restaurant has its own entrance and is inside of a hotel. The restaurant is set within a once palace, beautiful. The pre-fix menu is very well worth the price, it also has the IVA included in this total. The wait staff is very accommodating and explain every dish in detail and each dish was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
