"Bevir is a “must” for anyone visiting the Canaries. Here, chef Jose Luis Espino champions top-quality ingredients, superb textures and meticulous presentation in dishes that extol the virtues of the local soil and the Atlantic (which provide 90% of his ingredients), while always showcasing the inherent flavours of the Canary Islands and using techniques that will leave a lasting impression. His creative and contemporary tasting menus are a nod to famous personalities such as the local writer Benito Pérez Galdós, one of the best exponents of 19C Spanish realist literature, hence the names of the two tasting menus (Fortunata and Jacinta), named after one of Galdós’s novels. Dishes that appealed to us included the colourful beetroot (cooked with salt and then grilled, the “embotado” (mackerel cured in seaweed salt, then marinated in orange oil before being cooked in a bain-marie), and the cauliflower cooked at low temperature like a cream, then topped with hazelnuts and coffee." - Michelin Inspector

We had a splendid lunch, the food was wonderful and some very interesting and surprising flavors put together resulting in phenomenal dishes altogether. The dishes looked Devine and so pretty! The suggestion for the wine according to our likings was a great choice. The staff was very friendly, compassionate about their profession and explained in detail what was served. The interior was chosen very carefully and the vibe was nice, the toilet gender specification suited the place in a quirky way. Def worth a Michelin star!

Amazing food, service was wonderful, we had mid week lunch as English couple on holiday. Even as big meat eaters, this fish only menu blew us away. Highly recommended for anyone in Gran Canaria to make a visit. Not expensive compared to similar level restaurants. Loved it and would go back.

Excellent lunch. Service was very good and attentive with good wine suggestions. The starter of foie gras mi-cuit was excellent, although it's of course very hard to mess up. First courses of chestnut soup and asparagus did not impress but the mains of iberico and duck were perfectly cooked. Surprisingly the highlight were the desserts which were absolutely delicious. And as mentioned the local wine we were recommended was perfect.

Great food experience but very bad service. The restaurant is really great. The food is delicious and you will not be disappointed but the service is so horrible and it is trying to ruin the experience in all ways possible. For example it was impossible to know what wines were available so I had to order all of them (5) just to try and decide. Only two of them were decent. First time in my life I have to do anything like this. Maybe I was unlucky because of language barriers but if you will have more luck then me, the food experience is really great. Don’t miss any main dish neither dessert because all of them are really incredible.

Great experience and idea to focus on local products and wine. Had dinner with 15 dishes and wine pairing, could not be more happier. I would say Bevir significantly exceeds other michelin recommended restaurants I have tried in the island.

Restaurant Bevir is a fantastic restaurant having the nicest staff - but visiting with limited ability in Spanish is difficult as the menu is only in Spanish and the staffs ability to present the food in English is very limited. My wife and I had the “Menu Tenderete” for lunch accompanied by a bottle of champagne - which turned out to be a good pairing. If you are not able to read the menu be aware that you will be served lots of traditional Spanish dishes - sashimi, liver & thymus - everything very delicious but I know that many will have some difficulties enjoying it. We really enjoyed our lunch and will recommend you to visit Bevir.

A stunning restaurant with lovely staff who gave us impeccable service. We had the 'lucky' menu and all the food was excellent. Their famous cauliflower, hazelnut and coffee dish is fantastic. Support this restaurant!
