Cadaqués

"A welcoming restaurant with an informal Mediterranean feel. The cuisine here showcases recipes from the Catalunya and Empordà regions, including plenty of grilled dishes and rice specialities cooked over a wood fire." - Michelin Inspector

Cadaqués is a very nice restaurant. We started with a sea bass tartare with lentils: light, fresh, and well-balanced. Then came the artichoke, meaty and paired with a smoky chipotle mayonnaise which was great. For the main, we had sea bream served simply with grilled green asparagus. Everything was light, clean, and full of flavor. Definitely a place to return to.

Our hotel concierge recommended this place for dinner. We went in with too high expectations, the meal was extremely overpriced. The paella was almost soup like, extremely hard. We ordered the lobster paella, croquettes and two pitchers of sangria. It was almost 200 euro. If the meal had been good we would have no complaints. There are plenty of options in Madrid, I would keep looking if you are wanting paella. The croquettes were ok.

Extraordinary restaurant offering one of the best paella in town as they cook it over open fire which give the rice a wonderful taste and texture. Great service and not pretentious atmosphere. Great vegan options!

The service at this restaurant must be studied. Cadaqués became the first restaurant ate dinner when we first visited Madrid in 2023 and the service offered made me fall in love with this city and its people. The food and the ambience is amazing and for all those reasons this restaurant has become a perpetual stop for us each time we’re in Madrid.

Terrible experience! The manager yelled at us just because our children didnt like the croquettes. He insisted we had to pay even though they didn’t eat anything! On top of that, they added items to the bill that we never ordered. His behavior was rude and unprofessional. Such awful customer service, especially for what seemed like a respectable place. Never going back there again! Its very strange that this restaurant was in Michelin catalogue 2023/2024! Hard to believe it!! This restaurant spoils all Michelins reputation.

Have just eaten at this restaurant. The restaurant has very nice decor and the staff are very freindly. The waitress that served us was very pleasant and chatty explaining what each dish to us. The food was fresh and tasty. However we had the fish which on the menu says g 14 euros please be advised this is the price per 100g so ask how big the fish is and how much it will be. Even though our fish was 900g that was what we were told would be 126 euros we were charged 140 euros that would be a kilo so was overcharged. please ask for full price of fish before ordering I could of bought a lot of fish for that price.

There seems to be a scam running with hotel concierges recommending this restaurant. Our servers were nice but food is terrible. The best thing we ordered was the asparagus and bottle of wine, and the bread that came with. All seafood was bad - mussels slightly smelled, razor clams were extremely sandy (could feel in between teeth when chewing), red shrimp had a mushy quality. Prices were high too especially given these circumstances. Skip!!

Food is good, slightly expensive but still good. Service is ok. It was not cool, that they were out of several dishes which were present in the menu. (To be fair, it was Sunday night). The deserts were really good! All in all: probably not my first choice in Madrid, but still a good place to go if you are willing to spend some money for good food.
