The 21 Best Restaurants In San Sebastián 2024

"Despite the fact that Basque Country has some of Spain’s most delicious vegetables, it can be surprisingly difficult to find them prepared simply when out to eat. Casa Urola manages to balance incredible grilled seafood and meat with the best vegetable dishes in the city. You’ll eat things like confit ruby-red piquillos, grilled white asparagus, and baby teardrop peas that crunch like caviar. The whole place is a family affair, as the restaurant is owned by a husband and wife duo. Go for dinner in the upstairs dining room and order literally anything that’s in season—you won’t be disappointed." - marti buckley

I had an exquisite squid croquette in its ink, as they say here, and a prawn skewer. Extremely high standard of cooking. The location is super; the outside terrace is in a small square that seems to be mostly full of locals. We also went local and had some cider. Very tasty and powerful stuff.

Rather simple and enjoyable restaurant in the middle of San Sebastián/Donostia 's town center. This was a bit away from the most touristic part of the city, which really shows after seeing the price difference in-between the restaurants in both sectors! For 14 euros you could get the full two-dishes menú, with some really interesting choices. Recommended.

Super rude staff. We sat and waited for the waiter to return to take our order after ignoring us for 10 minutes clearing plates etc only to be told quite abruptly that they aren’t serving food anymore. This was after having this place recommended by our host . Not a welcoming place

Food was delicious. We loved the mushroom croquette and the shrimps with mushrooms. Nom nom

Recommended by locals. Maybe they are more welcomed than tourists. Unfriendly in our moment here. A pity

€13 euro for three courses, really good food as well. Quick service, menu changes daily. Originally stated outside but rain pushed us inside to the basement restaurant, Lovely dining area. Recommend to all.

Lovely pavement cafe very near main train station. Absolutely delicious tapas and Spanish omelette for lunch at good prices. Would highly recommend - superb!

Another great place for a good choice of food and drink at good prices. This area seems to get really busy early evening.
