Restaurante Casa Romántica Agaete

What an absolutely stunning place. I had the pleasure to visit this restaurant today and I enjoyed every minute of my time. Each dish was crafted with passion and knowledge. The service was amazing - discreet and very professional. I went for the vegetarian version of the menu and was very full at the end of the meal (which is not that common at this type of restaurant). If you are wondering if it is worth the visit - it definitely is!

Straightforward and simply one of my favourite restaurants in Europe. Every penny is well worth it. Beautiful food with real, authentic flavours. Good portions, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. From starters to main courses and desserts, every single dish was excellent. I would go back again and again whenever I travel to Gran Canaria. The restaurant has its own organic garden and produces its own coffee, cheese, and fresh juices from their own fruits. It is a Michelin restaurant without exaggerated prices compared to other Michelin-starred restaurants — exceptional quality for the value.

Amazing 8 (?) course menu with a lot of variety and creativity present in the dishes. A Vegetarian option is also available. Attentive staff, ranging from the receptionist who called the day before to make sure all the reservation information was correct, to the multiple waiters who presented and explained each dish nicely and who were all dressed sharply to, of course, all of the kitchen staff working in the background. Each dish was perfect without any flaws and also brought to the table in a well timed manner without any rush or delay. The wine list is vast and even includes multiple options from the canary isles like Tenerife, Lanzarote and more. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant and there is also the option to have a look and walk around the garden where they grow all kinds of flowers, plants and even coffee. They charge a very fair price for the quality of the food that they make.

We opted for the Tomás Morales menu, but wished we had chosen the longer one. The food was delicious! The chef's use of local ingredients really stood out. The tomato dish was incredibly flavorful, probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The citrus dessert made with homegrown fruit was excellent, as was their locally grown coffee, which was featured in the dessert and served separately with a special presentation. The staff deserves a special mention for everything from the warm welcome to the great wine recommendations, food presentation, and overall attention throughout the meal. I’m really glad we found this hidden gem and were able to dine there while exploring the Agaete area.

This type of place is very hard to review, especially for someone who loves food and appreciates the dedication to sustainability. I will start by saying that the food was incredible. Everything is very well made and thought out, the taste of each dish has its own story that the waiters make sure is properly told. They produce most of the ingredients and work with other Canary Islands producers for what they do not make. Waiters are very attentive and also speak English and the owner, Victor, is very kind and very passionate about everything he and his family have built. The highlights were the cheese tasting - if you speak or understand Spanish please ask them to present this part in Spanish, it adds so much passion to the experience- and the live coffee prep. A tour of their property is also included with your lunch and I definitely recommend it. I do hope they get a star soon

One of the best restaurant visits of my life, and I have seen quite a lot already. I expected a solid gourmet experiece but have been left beyond impressed. The food was mindblowing in any way, fully locally sourced, and the staff was warm and passionate. The sommelier has been even more mindblowing. His dedication to Canary wines and to his guests impressed us beyond belief. I would bet money on this restaurant to receive one (or more) Michelin stars very soon. Prices are much too low in my opinion. We paid 160 € per person for 10 courses, with appetizers and coffee. I would not have complained if they charged double this amount. 100% recommendation if you want to have the food experience of your life.

In a deep valley we find this beautiful restaurant with incredible food, mostly locally produced. The staff is very friendly and serviceminded. The restaurant is clean and elegant. We will definitely come back! We had the 8 course tastemeny with additional cheese tasting menu. Everything tasted amazing and was perfectly presented.

The menu was an absolute delight. A creative and flavorful starter kicked off a journey of locally sourced delicacies, each presented with beautiful attention to detail. The highlight was the cheese with tomato jam and cilantro mojo- an unexpected explosion of flavours. The service staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating specially Nestor who brought a calming serving story to each dish. On top of this, the mountain scenery perfectly complemented this delightful spot. A true gem in Gran Canaria. Bravo!
