"Fresh ingredients and quick service are the calling cards of this old school joint in the Zona Rio. Breakfast offerings include traditional Mexican items and egg plates. The fresh-baked baskets of mini pan dulce will make wait times feel a lot shorter." - Mario A. Cortez

Hadn't been there in a while, but I'm happy to report the food and the service is still great! Went early in the morning and had the poblano omelette and freshly squeezed orange juice, that was a great choice. My girlfriend had the cazuela española with chorizo español, eggs, beans and chilaquiles and she loved it! She also had a chai lavender coffee that was delicios. The service is first rate. Will definitely return for more.

Everything we ordered was delicious. Chilaquiles green and red. The rachera in the chilaquiles was tender and juice. Their juices are very good. The omelet with green chile was very good. The corn and flour tortillas are fresh and made there. We were there on a Saturday, and our estimated wait time was 45 minutes, but we only waited for about 20 minutes. They offer vallet parking. We tried the conchas, they were a little dry for our like.

I recently visited this restaurant and while the food presentation was appealing, there were several aspects that could be improved. First, the wait time was quite long, which made the experience a bit frustrating. The atmosphere was also very loud, making it difficult to enjoy a conversation. As for the food, while the orange juice, coffee, meat, homemade tortillas and beans were fantastic, the chilaquiles were a disappointment. They were over-fried, which gave them a burnt taste that was hard to overlook. I did not end up eating my plate. The service was okay, not bad but nothing exceptional. Overall, there were some hits and misses, but the food and atmosphere could use some refinement Also, a bit over priced. They charge extra for everything. For 2 breakfast dishes a coffee and orange juice almost $50.

The food is delicious however the atmosphere is loud and the waiters are singing feliz cumpleaños every 3 minutes. They also rush you once they see you are about to finish not even giving you time to finish your coffee, and you better make sure to tip correctly which is 10%. Our waiter was horrible, constantly forgetting forks, tortillas and coffees but he made sure to suggest to tip him 10%. Our table was by the back exit which was just chaotic but not returning soon. But like I said the food is delicious if you don’t mind the wait!

Went for lunch. Tiny menu, overpriced drinks and small portions. Fantastic customer service. Food was tasty, just they give small portions for the price. Went and got tacos after. They brought salsa to the table but no chips.

Google
Ordered a ribeye steak and eggs. Definitely didn't get ribeye. The eggs were wrong, and the waiter took a while to get syrup for the pancakes and water. The people are nice, and the location is cute. But food was mid

We ate here today and it was pretty empty. The server was trying to sale us everything but insisting way to much to the point of interrupting our conversation several times … I guess he didn’t get his way so when I asked for my check and boxes to go they charged me for the boxes to go I honestly not sure if is a new thing but how do they expect me to take my food home?????👎🏼 to me is not acceptable

Everything was amazing! One of my cousins recommended this place and I’m so glad that he did. The food was delicious! I had the Chilaquiles with Salsa Morita with the Chicharron, everything was perfect! I had a Mimosa and it was made with fresh squeezed Orange Juice & a sliced Strawberry garnish, very pretty and very tasty! They have fresh made Pan Dulce with Heart Shaped designs, super cute and again delicious!! Let me tell you that I don’t eat beans very often, however since everything else was so good I gave in and tried them and they were so good, I wish I could have finished them. The portions are just right too! The Cafe De Olla is also wonderful and perfect with the fresh Pan Dulce. We had the best service from Angel, he made sure we had everything we needed at all times and made great menu suggestions, Thank You Angel for your great service! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Delicious Breakfast!! They Accept cash and card! (Came in May, some parts of the restaurant are currently under renovations but still plenty of seating) Parking- there is free parking inside the plaza and there is an entrance in the middle to extra parking in the back. Ambiance- Everyone was very friendly and welcoming along with there being a mix of tourist and locals! The have plenty of seating including tables large enough to accommodate a party of 8. They also have a 2nd floor seating. Food- Food was fresh and delicious! They were moderately busy but our food came out quick! They even provided a complimentary appetizer which was 3 slices of Melon with yogurt on top! Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Awesome place ! I'm so happy we found this place ! First of all good coffee free refills on American coffee! Sometimes in tijuana they don't have it We ordered the Pedro Infante special eggs perfectly cook (thing that sometimes is hard here ) I ordered the eggs with ribeye! Cooked prefect medium rare!! And the top of the cherry excellent service by Jessenia!! Definitely our New favorite place for breakfast! (That they serve all day )

Yelp
Be careful with this place when it comes time to pay with a credit card. When it came time to pay my bill, the payment went through on my credit card. However, I was told by the restaurant that in their end it didn't go through. I showed them my credit card on my app showing the actual charge that went through but the young lady with the charge unit went to ask her manager and I still had to pay however, this time I paid with cash I did called my credit card company to let them know of the situation. 8 hours later there is another charge on my credit card by the same restaurant, I did get a hold of my credit card company again, I tried reaching out to the restaurant however, they did not answered . Again, make sure that you guys check your statements when paying by credit card at this SHADY establishment. Not going here again.

Yelp
Nos encanta este lugar! Es muy bueno y el servicio es fantástico. Lo recomiendo al 100 por 100!!

Yelp
The food is delicious. They make their tortillas and artisonal bread from scratch as well as their pan dulce. You can definitely tell it's fresh. So many good options. The fresh juice and coffee is amazing. Great service, wait staff is friendly

Caro M.

Yelp
Food is great! Chipotle Chilaquiles were so tasty, the tortilla chips were not soggy, exactly how you'd expect chilaquiles to taste. Full of flavor with the right amount of crunch. Staff is so friendly. Wait times were a little longer than had hoped, however we weak during peak hours. The inside looks like a cabin it's pretty cool looking didn't expect that.

Xavier X.

Yelp
Good Food Period! Great music & ambiance. Highly recommend this place. Attentive service staff. Just the right place for eating.

Emi R.

Yelp
The servers here hustle! Live music on a Saturday morning during breakfast & it was great. The ambiance is very lively & it was a full restaurant. We got the birria which was okay (had a lot of fatty pieces) with fresh hand made tortillas and two cazuelitas españolas which came with refined beans and red Chilaquiles - delicious. Got two fresh conchas too. Not much street parking so we did valet in the back. Good place for traditional Mexican food & a long menu of options!

Jessica L.

Yelp
By far the best enchiladas suizas I've had, I was a little skeptical about this place at first but my whole family really enjoyed all we had to eat. Service, food and drinks were great 10/10 definitely will come back.

AleXis M.

Yelp
The food was on point parking was a pain but when we got there we were quickly seated and the complimentary plate delish. The poblano and cheese omelet was so good I wish I could finish it but the portions were so large the cafe de Olla was not the best but decent great ambiance with the live music performance.

David B.

Yelp
Phenomenal. To start they offer valet parking. The inside ambiance is warm and cozy. They have traditional Mexican music playing. I thought it was the radio until I saw a man singing into a microphone behind the tables. I ordered the papaya plate and the beef/egg combination. The papaya was good but the combo was a homerun. The beef was a mini steak cooked to perfection and seasoned incredibly. It comes with cheese cooked tortilla chips, eggs, refried beans, two types of salsas, corn and flour tortillas. The service was attentive and fast and the bill was cheap ($14). One of the better dining experiences I have had in awhile .

Charles C.

Yelp
The exterior has the air of a Trader Vic's. Inside is all wood and rather cozy. The Chicken Parmesan is good. They need to place more emphasis on wine---they have only two, and both are by LA Cetto. Some of the servers are good; others, less so. Note: The dining room closes at 6:30 pm., so no late nights.

Shannon M.

Yelp
Good food and good service, but they are always busy. They also have free valet, you just have to tip.

Mary M.

Yelp
Don't like never will. The wait is ridiculous. Service is awful. Plates are too expensive for the quality of the food. And I found the place to be overall tacky.

Anna-Jo H.

Yelp
This restaurant is always busy because the food is really good. They serve both regular coffee and café de olla. Make sure you try the latter; you won't regret it. They also have free valet parking, which is always a plus when trying to find a spot near Zona Rio and Downtown Tijuana. We tried the chilaquiles and the waffles and both were delicious. I highly recommend Chicho's for bruch.

Alejandra M.

Yelp
It's very good I loved the food. The place is really clean and it's so cute. I loved the great service. There really nice people. You should visit here if you don't know what to eat

T M.

Yelp
Stay away, bad food, bad service, and then when I wanted to pay, the credit card machine didn't work anymore??? This was a good place years ago, but the management just doesn't care anymore.

Alejandro C.

Yelp
This is probably one of the worse restaurants that I've tried here in Tijuana. Usually the food is okay here, but yesterday they took about 40 minutes to get me my food. They took forever to bring me my bread (entry) and to finish it of my steak was cold and hard... I would like to add that the service is horrible too. I noticed that if you come with a group of people they'll pay more attention to you than if you came with only your wife, girlfriend, friend, boyfriend etc. Never coming back. There's so much more out there and better.
