Question: Did I drive 10 hours round trip (from Southern Nevada) to eat in Mexicali's Chinatown?
Answer: Absolutely, and I can't wait to do it again! ;)
I've eaten Chinese food all over the world (i.e., Hong Kong, Beijing, Macau, Toronto, NYC, Vegas, etc), and this epic meal was a great addition to my personal journey through one of the world's most vast cuisines. Highlights of this particular meal was having chop suey for the first time, and the Mexican elements such as limes and Chinese chorizo that were incorporated into the dishes I ordered--a pure stroke of genius.
Restaurant China Town is a pretty causal, no-frills spot, and they have people on staff who speak multiple languages. The service I received was top notch, and the restaurant was completely packed during my visit.
