Restaurante “China Town”

Nice clean place. I asked for a coffee, white rice and vegetables. I liked the way they serve the coffee, they bring you you everything separate in a little container they are not stingy at all. The veggies were good a little salty but good and the rice I didnt like. It was sticky and and not well cooked unlike the white rice the brown rice was very good and tasteful. Now, i noticed while we were eating all the staff and im assuming the owners sat down to eat all together in a big table. That shows china town takes care of their employees remember the easiest way to make employees do their best work is to appreciate them. Our waitress was still getting up and checking on us at this time.

Way overpriced food. Good service. Not worth it. This is the most expensive chinese food I’ve ever had. Paid over $850 pesos for 2 people. I don’t mind spending the money if it’s worth it. I would’ve been okay paying half of what I was charged. Menu is not amazing. 1st time I get charged $80 pesos for changing shrimp for orange chicken. I’m never coming back. Felt ripped off.

This was my first time in Mexico and everyone told me this was the place to try! I stupidly didn't know any Spanish but the owner did speak English and was able to help me out and they do have an English menu! I had the duck and the fried peppers. Those peppers where so amazing and I'm shocked we don't have them were I'm from! The food was very good and the sizes were so huge! Way more food than one person can eat so I'd say bring a group or if you speak Spanish make friends with another table and share some diahes! The whole meal was about $25 US and well worth it. I could have eaten 3 or 4 meals from that easily!

Best tasting Chinese food but that’s not enough. Recently visited and our food came out late. Head waiter didn’t care when I brought it to my waiters attention Ernesto. Brought out rice and had us waiting for other plates without explanation. There are over 300 other Chinese restaurants in Mexicali recommend find one with better service!

Question: Did I drive 10 hours round trip (from Southern Nevada) to eat in Mexicali's Chinatown? Answer: Absolutely, and I can't wait to do it again! ;) I've eaten Chinese food all over the world (i.e., Hong Kong, Beijing, Macau, Toronto, NYC, Vegas, etc), and this epic meal was a great addition to my personal journey through one of the world's most vast cuisines. Highlights of this particular meal was having chop suey for the first time, and the Mexican elements such as limes and Chinese chorizo that were incorporated into the dishes I ordered--a pure stroke of genius. Restaurant China Town is a pretty causal, no-frills spot, and they have people on staff who speak multiple languages. The service I received was top notch, and the restaurant was completely packed during my visit.

Right next to the border line. Been to several Chinese restaurants here and this is one of the best. Probably ate there 15 times. Delicious and big portions. Highly recommended.

After having people constantly try to recommend other Chinese restaurants, I have to always politely decline. Restaurante China Town has by far the best Chinese food in Mexicali. I've come to terms that other shop by price but not me. The flavor cannot be copied from this place. It must of been back in 1980 when my uncle first took me here and I have been coming to dine here since then. The staff is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need.

Love their Chinese food its always fresh and taste great maybe not the nicest place to eat Chinese food. restaurant its a little bet old but the flavor it's amazing.

On my trip to Mexicali to visit my mom on 3/1/19,my family and I stopped by to try this place out , the food was great,the prices were fair and the service was amazing,very nice and attentive..my family and i really liked this place.. can't wait to go stop by again on my next visit to Mexicali in May

Great curbside service, but in general the food lacks flavor, every single dish on our order needed a dash of msg or something, I have to say after longing over a year in pandemic for good Chinese food, our experience was disappointing.

Great prices, great taste, good portions... however the service was not good. We waited like 10 minutes for them to bring us hot sauce. I walked up to the front desk, and the owner was rude and order me to sit down and wait for my waiter.

I dont know where to start. I drive from San Diego to visit and will eat nothing after breakfast so i can fit as much as possible in my big belly of this delicious food. I was born in LA 10 min from china town ate there three times a week while we lived in LA. I moved to SD 20 years ago lived 3 blocks from convoy st the whole time eat on Convoy twice a week. Again i will drive here just to eat. ITS ALL GOOD ORDER # 2 THANK ME LATER

Came to Mexicali and saw this place on Yelp, it definitely did not disappoint. The food taste so fresh and everything was delicious! We ordered the white rice with chorizo, China town combination and shrimp with chorizo in their special sauce. Hands down this place was super good!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The food was absolutely delicious. Try the Chinatown duck for sure! The servers were so great. We had some questions about the menu and our Spanish is not good. The owner was so kind to us and recommended the right amount of food so that we did not over order. Restaurant was full of happy families. One person even came to our table as we looked at the menu and told us how fantastic the food is and what HE recommended. I love this place. Will be back!

Best Chinese food there is! The food is really tasty and well made, the service is fast and the place is very quiet. You won't regret visiting this place!

For the past 25 yrs or so, every time we find ourselves in mexicali, this is a must. The best Chinese restaurant. The family is very attentive and service is the best. I'm loyal to the business. ...treat your customers right and they will come.
