"A restaurant with a relaxed ambience and no little personality in the heart of Girona’s old quarter. Here, you can enjoy simple yet delicious traditional cuisine with the addition of a few contemporary touches from around the world. The à la carte also features a number of references to the world of cinema and to director Quico Viader." - Michelin Inspector

Cipresaia is a small but charming restaurant in Girona, seating around 20 guests inside with a few tables outdoors and about 4–5 seats at a high bar. The space is intimate, modern, and well kept, with clean bathrooms located upstairs. Service was friendly and prompt—professional without being overly formal. We chose two seats at the bar, which turned out to be a great decision since it gave us a view straight into the kitchen as the chefs prepared each dish. The food itself was excellent from start to finish. The croquettes arrived piping hot and were crisp and flavorful—definitely worth the wait to let them cool before biting in. The patatas bravas were outstanding, easily one of the best versions we’ve had, with a sauce so good it left us wanting to scrape the bowl clean. For our main plate, we split the octopus with chimichurri, which was perfectly executed—juicy and tender inside with a beautifully charred and flavorful exterior. Overall, Cipresaia delivered a fantastic dining experience. Between the intimate atmosphere, great kitchen views, attentive service, and consistently delicious dishes, this is a spot I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Girona.

Pretty unreal experience here if we’re being honest! Our server, Oscar, was kind, funny and attentive. We ordered a ton of food, and seemingly each course that came out had us more impressed! The shrimp wontons, octopus, and scallops were all culinary highlights from our week spent in Girona and we would highly reccomend anyone visiting the area and looking for an upscale meal to visit Cipressia.

WOW! They are the only words. We booked the day before and managed to secure a table up at the bar and we are so glad we did this. The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. Oscar was so friendly and very knowledgable. Food was absolutely divine. Some of the best food I've eaten in years. Oysters were so fresh and the salad we had was to die for. This place most definitely deserves to be in the Michelin Guide. A really special experience and would 100% recommend visiting. Not sure how they produce food of that level with one chef and a pretty small team. AMAZING!

Really great restaurant in Girona. The service is top and the food was delicious. A bit more of a fine dining twist to classic dishes. The patatas were a surprising addition with the sobrasada sausage - 10/10. The steak was delicious too. Would definitely recommend going here if you like great food.

First time dinning twice in a restaurant back to back. The menu had a lot of variety, something for everyone. Baby razor clams - tender, lightly seasoned which brought out the umami of the fresh clams Scallops - cooked to perfection. The sauce was not too heavy and had a good balance of flavor. Duck paella with uni - a bit on the saltier side. But even so the duck flavor comes through the dish. Bravas - can’t go wrong with this Beef tartar - even my mom who doesn’t eat raw, enjoyed this dish very much Stuffed cannelloni with fowl - the fowl was a bit on the dry side. The sauce was just ok. My least favorite dish. Service - similar to other review, it could be better and more friendly.

Great restaurant! The food, the wines and the service were all amazing. I had the venison, highly recommend it, it was so delicious. Portions were generous, so even though the meals are a bit pricy, you get amazing price/quality ratio. Girona has a generally high quality of restaurants but this one stood out. I'd recommend to book in advance, it gets busy. I'd come back here for sure!

We had a wonderful evening at Restaurant Cipresaia. The welcome was warm, and despite its limited space, the restaurant is beautifully and openly decorated. The food menu was extensive, and all dishes were appealing. The digital wine list, including explanations and recommendations for wine and food pairings, is not only a novelty for us, but also fits the restaurant's contemporary style, where the wine selection plays a prominent role. The dishes were very well prepared, well-portioned, and delicious. The service—a young, cheerful man who spoke clear English—was attentive, playful, and pleasant. A valuable asset. We would love to return to Restaurant Cipresaia.

Came here because it was Michelin recommended. Lunch was only on the tasting menus. Chickens were dry but they offered the extra sauce on request. Overall the food was average, not beyond your expectations. And service wise, It looked like they needed more staffs. Drop dishes down on the table very rough. No explanation on dish. You get to wait and repeat for calling the server several times.
