Cipresaia is a small but charming restaurant in Girona, seating around 20 guests inside with a few tables outdoors and about 4–5 seats at a high bar. The space is intimate, modern, and well kept, with clean bathrooms located upstairs. Service was friendly and prompt—professional without being overly formal.
We chose two seats at the bar, which turned out to be a great decision since it gave us a view straight into the kitchen as the chefs prepared each dish. The food itself was excellent from start to finish. The croquettes arrived piping hot and were crisp and flavorful—definitely worth the wait to let them cool before biting in. The patatas bravas were outstanding, easily one of the best versions we’ve had, with a sauce so good it left us wanting to scrape the bowl clean. For our main plate, we split the octopus with chimichurri, which was perfectly executed—juicy and tender inside with a beautifully charred and flavorful exterior.
Overall, Cipresaia delivered a fantastic dining experience. Between the intimate atmosphere, great kitchen views, attentive service, and consistently delicious dishes, this is a spot I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Girona.
