Restaurante dos Artistas

We had an amazing dining experience tonight at Restaurante dos Artistes. Our server, Bruna, oversaw a wonderful table service and made sure each course was to our liking. It’s obvious why this restaurant is recognized by Michelin and others. Their attention to detail and excellent dining made us feel like we were transported to another level! Everything we tasted made our palates dance in delight. The scallops starter was a delicious treat, and our fish courses were prepared to perfection with a creative array of sides and sauces. Most definitely recommend this to any visitor to Lagos!

It was a truly wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. Great taste, great quantity, and great service a perfect combination. Big shoutout to Irene and other staff. They are super friendly and make the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Everything was perfect. With my sister we took the chef’s menu and we were amazed from the beginning to the end. The food is incredible I really appreciate the work of the kitchen to mix all this super flavors through fresh products. Even the cocktails were super good The service was PERFECT everybody was super nice with us and really professional. I recommend this place 100%

We had high hopes for Restaurante dos Artistas in Lagos, but unfortunately, our experience fell short in several key areas. Food: While the dishes aimed for creativity, they were overwhelmed by overly complex sauces—often more than one per plate. This overshadowed the main ingredients and made it difficult to appreciate their quality. Although we appreciate the intention to innovate, the execution lacked balance and clarity. Instead of enhancing the dishes, the multiple layers of sauces competed with one another. Service: The service was average—acceptable for a casual restaurant but not what one might expect from a fine dining establishment. The staff were polite but appeared rushed, moving quickly between tables without much engagement. There was minimal guidance on how to enjoy each dish (e.g., which element to start with), which felt like a missed opportunity, especially given the complexity of the plates. Atmosphere: The outdoor area offers a nice ambiance when the weather is favorable, but it can become unpleasantly windy. The indoor space, however, tends to get noisy and crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to have a relaxed conversation. Overall: The experience did not justify the price point. While the restaurant aspires to deliver a refined and innovative culinary journey, it lacks the finesse and quality of service needed to warrant its cost. Sadly, we left feeling more confused than satisfied. This was probably the most disappointing Michelin experience I have ever had.

We had a lovely night at Dos Artistas. I chose this restaurant because of there were plenty of vegetarian options. Its a really nice restaurant and I especially want to mention our waiter, Filipe (hope i spell that correctly!) who was extremely competent, friendly and helpful. Although the food was fine, I feel like the restaurant has the potential to improve the dishes and refine the flavours.

We had the supreme set menu, while the food was overall decent, the slow service has let it down. We were in the restaurant for over 2.5 hours for the full course, with long wait between each course. Some flavours didn't work well for me and the plating of some dishes was a bit strange, otherwise food would have been 5 stars.

I was treated to a dinner here by my husband for my birthday — and what can I say, I’m absolutely thrilled! Everything was simply on point: the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere. The dishes were incredibly delicious, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We felt so welcomed and taken care of the entire evening. We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone who values high-quality food and truly excellent service. A beautiful spot that made my birthday extra special. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This restaurant is well worthy of being in the Michelin Guide. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was really friendly and professional, but most of all, it was really natural. It looked like they all enjoyed their role. The ambience and decor were really nice, and it was great to be able to select 2 different set menus. We had 2 different 5 course menus, and each course was delicious. We selected 4 different glasses of wines throughout the menu between us, and all were nice. It was really good value for money and definitely I recommend

Disappointing, expensive experience. Five of us dined and tried many dishes a la carte across the menu. Food was inconsistent, bland, and in some cases inedible. Cocktails were watered down. Server was either new or unpracticed. Best part was the art and ambience. We cannot believe this place recently received a Michelin star.

Fantastic restaurant! The service is top notch, literally white glove service and attention to detail. We almost never finished a glass of wine before they were there to refill it for us. The food is creative and flavorful! They paired unique ingredients while also keeping the integrity of the dish. We really enjoyed all of our meal and would happily return again.

Cool atmosphere, great drinks and excellent food. Would go back! Their patio was beautiful, service was great. I had the tasting menu of the fish soup (delicious), the chicken (good) and the almond fig dessert (delicious). My husband got the risotto to start, the lamb and the chocolate cake all of which we're excellent.

A regular and never fails to deliver. Certainly the best food in Lagos and you can either do the whole menu which is high end in terms of food price or chose carefully- in both cases good value for money. Slick, friendly service. Nice atmosphere

Currently the best gourmet restaurant in Lagos!!! Right in the center of Lagos, Casa Amarela will provide you an amazing gastronomic experience. You'll have several options you can choose from as prix fixe or choose specific plates. Do yourself a flavor and for for the menus - amazing!!!!!! Their drinks are equally beautiful and equally tasty. Perfect place for a date or a special evening Bom apetite!

AMAZING! Patio is a must! Everything was exquisite and unique! A must when in Lagos! Great staff and atmosphere. A hidden gem for sure.

The restaurant was beautiful inside! Food was delicious and very creative! Service was very good! This is a wonderful restaurant and you will really enjoy the total experience!

This was the best place I ate while in Portugal. The brown butter ravioli may be one of the best things I've ever eaten and the amuse bouche of duck with orange mouse -- who could ask for more? I'd highly recommend the dessert platter as well. It came with everything you could possibly ask for from crème brûlée to honey cakes and everything in between. They accommodated my wife's chocolate allergy without hesitation and made sure we enjoyed our meal at every turn. Five stars!

Please ignore Matthew B's review. If things went bad for him, it was something he did, said or how he treated the staff. Artistas was incredible! We live in the NYC area and thought we had had experienced the best food the world had to offer...until we visited Artistas! We did not have a reservation on Sept.13, 2021 and tried the restaurant anyway. We were welcomed as if we had a reservation and was provided a 5 minute waiting seat and an incredible strawberry cocktail so much better than any in NYC (would you like a tiny bit of alcohol with your strawberry flavored sugar?). Once at our table, we were waited on, hand and foot, by the nicest people. (Mario, we are talking about you!). The chef was an absolute magician! The flavors he (we asked and it is a 'he') created in his literal works of art were so amazing. It was an outstanding experience and the best at our time in the Algarve. You. Must. Go!

This place was amazing!!!!!! Went with my boyfriend for our anniversary. Would recommend wearing something nicer then jeans and a hoodie

We were part of a big group and our server did a great job. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside. I had a great scallops appetizer and I tried different fish dishes. Everything was delicious. All the desserts we ordered were great and I liked the wine.

I love this place! The staff are very professional and not stuffy.The food is outstanding. This is clearly my favorite place to eat in the Algatve.

Had a reservation at the restaurant at 1830 on 28 June 2019 with Sina but they could not accommodate our child with a seat. We were the first ones to arrive and we were turned away from sitting outside. Restaurant was sweltering hot and muggy with no music or ambience. I can't believe this establishment boasts @Michelin on the outside. Total disappointment. Servers were a tad snooty and we were glad to leave for a better experience. Sina also received a notice on "Fork" that the restaurant canceled our reservation after they could not accommodate us. Cannot recommend at all! Vai pra outro lugar! This was our one and only low point experience in Lagos.

Came here with my husband last week and had a wonderful experience! We were recommended to try this restaurant so we walked by and they had one open table we were able to slip into without a reservation. Everything about the food is delicious and incredibly unique!! The chef's special touches and surprises made our experience. The service was excellent! I do wish our server had more recommendations. We over heard a server in another section go more into detail on the menu and about the restaurant. We were out on the patio which was private and beautiful.

this restaurant deserves the full 5 stars, amazing experience from start to end! you can def get reservations the day of but the later you call the later your dinner will be! This was hands down the best food in lagos! We started off with beef carpaccio and had this green curry soup and ended with prawns for dinner! We had one more app but forget the name! Nothing failed us! Highly recommend this place if in lagos!

Probably the best in Lagos, took the 6 courses + a delicious wine. We went for the expensive way but you can easily only spent 50 EUR / person as well. Staff is thoughtfull, very friendly and they know everything about the food and the suitable wines on the menu. Great interior (lot of paintings on the wall) and an option to sit in a cosy little garden outside. One word: perfect!

Great value good quality restaurant in Lagos. Although it didn't look to much from the outside the restaurant has a lovely outdoor patio at the back. We had a great lunch with fantastic service and were surprised by the cheap price of the set lunch. We started with fresh bread and four butters plain, herb, lobster and meat (pate really). These were all good with a nice selection of bread. Then an amuse bouche of chicken and tomato terrine which was very good. We chose the tomato consume which was excellent and refreshing on a hot day. Main course was a well cooked sea bass with lovely deep fried cauliflower. We had the choice from the main menu for deserts. My cherry cake was superb. We decided to finish with some blue cheese and port again from the main menu. All in all very good and certainly worth stoping at for lunch. But beware it was fully booked in the evening!

Amazing! Top quality food and amazing service. I have been each year for the past 4 years years with various size groups always fantastic.
