Restaurante El Buey

We came here in the Spring based on the Michelin Guide. It’s a bit out of the way of main tourist towns and located in an unassuming neighbourhood. So, you’ll need some private transport to get here and you won’t feel like you’re in an upscale location. But. This place exudes authenticity. Spanish-run and true Spanish cuisine. This place was fantastic. The decour. The service. The clientele were all locals - so you knew this place was legit. The prawns were unbelievable in flavour and prepared very simply (as they should be). I would return just for these. Even though we were at the tail end of the artichoke season we were treated to foie gras and artichoke in an amazingly flavoursome sauce. We would have preferred a basque cheesecake but the cheesecake was still worth it! We’ll definitely be back during high season to try some more of the artichokes!

Food was ok, small place, and very noisy because everybody was very loud. But the dishes on the photo will not recommend. But maybe I did just wrong choose

My favorite restaurant in the area, by far! Excellent food and service: do not miss the biff on stone, the jamon is to die for, my kids asked for another sallad since it was soooo good, and sorry Italian restaurants, this is where I had the best Tiramisu ever ❤️

Amazing food, the chocolate cake for desert is a must try. Absolutely phenomenal. Also the port sauce with the steak, it’s like a very flavoursome gravy. 10/10! Lovely place. Going back.

Love this place. Very Spanish and don't speak English. Meat outstanding but sometimes things are off the menu. Worth a visit

Locally sourced garden produce. Its signature dish is artichokes from the Vega Baja del Segura area. Good value for money. Friendly staff.

What can I say.... Staff first class, as for the food.. Never in my whole life have I ever eaten food like this, everything was just amazing. I will be going back.
